This show has already announced a stacked card filled with high profile bouts, but there could be room for some major returns throughout the evening in Chicago.

From injured stars making their return, to legendary names making their way back into the fold, Worlds End could hold some significant ramifications for AEW heading into 2026.

Here are eight potential returns at AEW Worlds End 2025.

8. Andrade El Idolo

At the recent NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome event, Andrade El Idolo was revealed as the newest member of the United Empire and joined the group against the Bullet Club War Dogs in a 10-Man Tag at Wrestle Kingdom 20.

This led to a detailed report revealing that the former WWE star was now eligible to sign for All Elite Wrestling.

With Andrade now officially available, fans should see him back in Tony Khan’s promotion in the very near future.

Making his return at AEW Worlds End 2025 could set up Andrade to reinsert himself with the Don Callis Family and reignite his rivalry with Kenny Omega.

7. Wardlow

AEW star Wardlow

Back at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025, Wardlow made his return to the company and immediately aligned with the Don Callis Family.

The former three-time TNT Champion looked to get back into the fold of the promotion after being out of action for over a year following a car accident.

Despite this spotlighted return on pay-per-view, Wardlow was once again sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle injury.

Wardlow returning at AEW Worlds End 2025 could see him immediately being thrusted into the Don Callis Family where he can help their dominance over the company.

6. Ruby Soho

Ruby Soho has been absent from AEW television since becoming pregnant with her first child.

The former WWE star is someone who signed with AEW in 2021 and immediately became one of the top talents in the women’s division.

However, it feels like a lot has changed and shifted in the AEW women’s scene since Soho has been away from the company over the past two years.

Soho making her return at AEW Worlds End 2025 could see her immediately place in the newly introduced AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship picture where she might reunite with Timeless Toni Storm or find a new partner.

Following AEW All In: Texas 2025, Thunder Rosa took some time off from the company to recover from some lingering injuries.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion is among one of the most popular female stars in the company’s history.

With her signature facepaint and undeniable connection with the audience, Rosa has been missed and could return before the end of 2025.

Considering how much has changed in the past few months, Rosa could come back at AEW Worlds End 2025 and find herself inserted into one of the main title pictures starting in Chicago.

4. Hikaru Shida

When All Elite Wrestling first started, Hikaru Shida established herself as one of the best female in-ring competitors in the company.

Solidifying herself as “The Ace” of the AEW women’s division, Shida has been a mainstay for the promotion and helped provide a steady force for the scene.

However, Shida has been absent from AEW television since 2024 due to visa issues. With those issues resolved, fans should see Shida make her comeback to the company.

The three-time AEW Women’s World Champion making her return at Worlds End 2025 could insert her right back into the main title picture, as well as potentially providing a formidable opponent for Kris Statlander heading into 2026.

3. Keith Lee

AEW star Keith Lee

Ahead of AEW Worlds End 2023, Keith Lee was pulled from the card for the pay-per-view due to lingering back injuries.

After more than two years away from the company, “The Limitless One” has revealed that he is healthy enough to make his return.

Lee returning at AEW Worlds End 2025 would feel like a full circle moment, having the former AEW World Tag Team Champion come back into the fold at the same event he was pulled from two years ago.

With his history with Swerve Strickland, Lee could immediately thrust himself into the spotlight by attacking his former tag team partner and costing him his AEW World Title match at the PPV.

2. Jay White

AEW star Jay White

Heading into AEW Dynasty 2025, it was revealed that Jay White had suffered a broken hand injury that pulled him from the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.

“Switchblade” had been embroiled in the rivalry with Jon Moxley and The Death Riders prior to being sidelined with injury.

Now with Samoa Joe holding the AEW World Title, White could come back into the fold and insert himself into the picture that is filled with former champions gunning for that top spot.

Whether it be against MJF or Hangman Page, White knows the players very well and could become a threat to the top prize in All Elite Wrestling following his return at AEW Worlds End 2025.

After losing the ROH World Title to Bandido at AEW Dynasty 2025, Chris Jericho has been away from the company’s programming for the majority of the year.

Playing a crucial role in the creation of All Elite Wrestling, Jericho has been one of the most important and influential figures in the history of the promotion.

Amidst his absence, reports and rumors have circulated about Jericho leaving the company when his contract expires at the end of 2025 and potentially returning to WWE.

Before his deal expires, Tony Khan would be wise to bring Jericho back one last time to do a final program in AEW following his return at Worlds End 2025.
