There are a lot of stars in WWE who could benefit from finding a new side to their character through working in a tag team.
From old alliances that could be re-visited to brand new pairings, there are plenty of options for fresh teams in WWE.
Here are eight new tag teams that could form in WWE.
8. The Lucha Brothers (Penta & Rey Fenix)

Since both Penta and Rey Fenix joined WWE, Lucha Bros fans have been patiently awaiting the return of the Lucha Brothers.
While they are not a new tag team in their careers – their combination of skills would be brand new in WWE.
At the moment both stars are on different brands and in singles action – however that doesn’t mean that they won’t be a tag team again in the future.
After holding the AEW Tag Team Championships in the past, it would make absolute sense for the pair to reunite at some point – when the moment called for it.

7. Bianca Belair & Naomi

While Bianca Belair is currently out of action due to an injury sustained at WrestleMania 41, speculation is abound that a heel turn could potentially be coming when she makes her return to TV.
Beginning to display a sassier character, Belair was open about the fact she felt fed up with being trespassed against.
With the door obviously not closed between Bianca and Naomi (at least from Naomi’s perspective) the duo could reunite and take over the Women’s Tag Team division in a whole new way.
Belair is someone who has never been a heel on WWE’s main roster, making for a fresh spin on her character.

6. Alba Fyre & Rhea Ripley

Since her Unholy Union tag team partner Isla Dawn was released from WWE, Alba Fyre has yet to return to singles action on TV.
While Fyre’s new role in The Secret Hervice is entertaining, she’s little more than a sidekick at present- so perhaps a re-imagining of her character could be beneficial.
Potentially able to re-capture some of her momentum from NXT – with fans recalling she was WWE NXT UK Women’s Championship for over 600 days – a new pairing may be able to breathe new life into her career.
Pairing Fyre with the wildly popular Rhea Ripley would be enjoyable – even if their alliance was short lived.

5. Jade Cargill & Lash Legend

There is a hanging story that WWE has yet to explore between the women on the roster – with some rising the ranks in WWE by grinding through the Indies, whereas others have been recruited as college athletes.
Two major success stories from the NIL-side of the debate are Jade Cargill and Lash Legend.
While Cargill arrived via her successful stint in AEW, her athletic history includes basketball for the Jacksonville Dolphins as a forward/guard with Legend also being former college basketball player who played for Texas A&M and Mississippi State.
The pair could easily join forces and either become fan favorite babyfaces or despised heels with ease due to their talent in the ring and on the mic.

4. Ethan Page & Grayson Waller

With A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) seemingly always on the brink of collapse (that’s kind of their thing), maybe it is time for Waller to find a new tag team partner.
Combining their powers of obnoxiousness – ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page and Grayson Waller could be a dynamic duo.
Definitely able to find ways to tear down anyone and everyone in their path, the pair of professional haters would be a great tag team.
Perhaps Austin Theory can make that long-awaited run at being a babyface, with his fan favor propelled forward by the sheer obnoxiousness of Page and Waller.

3. Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes

WWE fans need the Trick Melo Gang back together on the main roster – expeditiously!
While Williams technically remains on NXT at the minute, his current feud with Joe Henry over the TNA Wrestling Championship seems to suggest he is headed for a call-up soon.
Hayes on the other hand just had a landmark rookie year on the main roster – holding his own against Andrade in a best of 7 series and winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, among other achievements.
Two great performers put together makes an even more fantastic tag team – something that was definitely on display when Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams were paired together on NXT.

2. Lexis King & Charlie Dempsey

A pair of NXT stars that haven’t been a tag team but could definitely join forces is Lexis King and Charlie Dempsey.
While there had been some interaction on-screen between Lexis King, Charlie Dempsey and William Regal already – it would be great to see more on the main roster.
There was already simmering tension teased – with Regal seemingly more warm towards King than his own son Dempsey, there could be a really tremendous and emotional story to be told.
With both carrying legendary lineage, the pair could also just wreak havoc on the main roster with Lexis King providing a ton of personality and Dempsey bringing understated violence.

1. Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch

Since both face criticism that they somehow control the WWE women’s division booking – it would be great to see the pair just lean into it.
With Becky Lynch functioning currently as a grizzled heel after receiving a warm reception when returning, she could easily join up with Charlotte Flair who was widely rejected by fans upon her return from injury.
Both are able to find their own character motivations for wanting to get back to the top of the division but namely, able to find an unlikely alliance with each other after the landscape of WWE has changed in their absence.
It truly would be a two women power trip, something not really explored in the division in a meaningful way.
