WWE CCO Triple H with Ace Austin and Saraya

As WWE heads into the Summer months there are several big events on the horizon – and potentially some new arrivals as well.

From fresh faces to familiar ones set for big returns, these Summer arrivals could help define WWE’s 2025.

Here are eight potential new WWE signings.

8. Saraya (Paige)

Even before confirming her departure from AEW, Saraya (formerly known as Paige in WWE) never ruled out a return.

After being cleared for in-ring competition in AEW, Paige could perhaps find herself back into the ring in WWE in the future.

Saraya remains occupied in her absence from professional wrestling, hosting her new podcast and promoting her recently released memoir.

Hopefully fans will see Paige make her way back to WWE, with Saraya herself commenting that she would love to return to the character someday.

7. Ace Austin

One TNA Wrestling star that could be immediately WWE bound with no crossover necessary is Ace Austin.

With reports that the former three-time X-Division Champion is now a free agent following expiration of his TNA contract – fans have immediately been intrigued as to where the 28 year old will land next.

The former NJPW Bullet Club member could potentially vet options from NJPW and AEW, but given his charismatic performances and high ceiling – he would be also be a great addition to WWE’s roster.

Either NXT or Raw and SmackDown, Ace Austin has the potential to do big things in the coming year.

6. Hardy Boyz

One pair of familiar faces currently signed to TNA Wrestling are Jeff and Matt Hardy.

While they have already appeared in NXT, the legendary tag team has made it no secret that they’d like to wrap up their careers back in WWE, complete with a rightful Hall of Fame induction.

However, since WWE and TNA Wrestling have an on-going partnership, there is a possibility that the Hardy Boyz could be back ahead of their contract expiry at the end of the year.

With some foundation being laid in the SmackDown tag team division regarding TLC matches of late – perhaps we will see the innovators of the tables, ladders and chairs in WWE action once again soon.

5. Mariah May

AEW star Mariah May, thought to be joining WWE

Finishing up her feud with Timeless Toni Storm at AEW Revolution 2025 in the “Hollywood Ending” match, Mariah May has yet to return to AEW.

While her absence sparked curiosity and rumors that she is planning to sign with WWE when her current AEW contract expires – nothing has been made official.

Recently after a “fan” made a comment wondering where she was on social media, to which May responded –“god forbid a girl takes a vacation”.

Whether her return will occur in AEW or actually end up as a major WWE debut remains to be seen – but either way, there are still big things ahead of Mariah May in her career.

4. Paul Wight (Big Show)

AEW's Paul Wight

Multi-time former WWE Champion Paul Wight was last in competition in AEW during the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight in November 2023, where he teamed with Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho against The Don Callis Family.

However, during the Full Gear 2024 Zero Hour bout featuring QT Marshall and Big Boom AJ, Wight made a surprise appearance.

After stating that he had “a couple years” left on his AEW contract back in 2023, Wight this week confirmed that he was still currently under contract with the company.

Given his over two decade association with WWE, fans remain hopeful that someday the Big Show may return, receiving a Hall of Fame induction and perhaps a role either on TV or behind-the-scenes.

3. The Righteous

Two years after being signed by AEW in 2023, The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) were recently granted their releases from the company.

Potentially hoping to capture new opportunities, the duo would be a compelling addition to the WWE tag team division.

With other industry veterans like the Motor City Machine Guns and #DIY still on the SmackDown roster, perhaps The Righteous are next to bring their experience to a WWE ring.

There’s also been teases linking the pair to popular WWE star Karrion Kross, with a new faction maybe on the cards at some point later down the line.

2. Elijah/Elias

After receiving a huge crowd reaction upon his surprise return during a recent episode of NXT, it is possible that the former Elias could return to WWE.

While it was just confirmed in February 2025 that the star had signed with TNA Wrestling, there has now been precedent laid by Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry that the partnership between the two promotions can provide plenty of crossover opportunity.

Formerly with WWE from 2014 to 2023, Elijah could have an entirely new and more serious tone in WWE – especially if paired with Vincent and Dutch to create a Righteous trio.

Instead Elijah may bring back his family members Ezekiel and Elrod, once again vehemently maintaining to NOT be the same person – there are a lot of future options should he return to WWE.

1. El Hijo del Vikingo

Ahead of WrestleMania 41, WWE made the ground breaking announcement that they had acquired Mexican wrestling promotion AAA.

Perhaps the standout star from the promotion who has already been shown on WWE TV is El Hijo del Vikingo.

Vikingo isn’t new to all American wrestling audiences however, as he previously competed in AEW as well as TNA on several occasions.

While there hasn’t been an official in-ring debut for El Hijo del Vikingo in WWE yet, with the upcoming AAA x NXT show Worlds Collide fast approaching on June 7 – it seems likely to happen soon.
