With WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event coming up on NBC this Saturday, July 12 having only four matches announced, there could still be more to come.

From continued feuds that have been simmering for a while to a title rematch, there are still some compelling angles that could make their way to the network broadcast.

Here are eight last minute matches that could be added to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

8. Jimmy Uso vs. Solo Sikoa

Announced by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis on social media, there has been a last-minute match added to Saturday Night’s Main Event already.

In the latest iteration of the Bloodline saga, Jimmy Uso will take on his younger brother Solo Sikoa for Sikoa’s United States Championship.

After Uso teamed with former Bloodline member Jacob Fatu on WWE SmackDown, the segment ended in a beatdown from Sikoa’s new Bloodline members including JC Mateo, Tonga Loa and Talla Tonga.

Still yet to be revealed is where Tama Tonga might end up when he returns from action – potentially something we could see sooner rather than later.

7. Bron Breakker vs. Karrion Kross

There was confirmation on WWE Raw that Sami Zayn is out of action “indefinitely” after an assault by Karrion Kross and then a match against Bron Breakker.

However, in a subsequent backstage segment, Breakker was concerned that people might think he wouldn’t have been able to beat Zayn had it not been for Kross’ attack – perhaps sparking a future feud between the two.

With the conflict as simple as Breakker didn’t want Kross’ help, the pair could put on quite the match.

Furthermore, with fan momentum continuing behind Karrion Kross, it would be intriguing to test the audience’s allegiance by putting him up against another anti-hero character like Breakker.

6. Giulia vs. Zelina Vega

While it would make sense that there might not be a lot of women’s matches on Saturday Night’s Main Event – since of course, Evolution is taking place on Sunday – it would be good to highlight at least one.

Having a bout on the network TV card to remind those viewers that there is a second event full of amazing performances by an all-female cast on Peacock the day after is a solid reason for the integration.

While the bout may be unlikely to result in a title change, there could still be a match to showcase two of WWE’s most compelling performers – Giulia and Zelina Vega.

With no title defense for the United States Championship currently scheduled for Giulia at Evolution since both her and Vega look to be involved in the battle royal instead, a singles match the night before wouldn’t go amiss.

5. Jacob Fatu vs. JC Mateo

NBC could play host to a battle between Jacob Fatu and the enforcer that replaced him in Solo Sikoa’s squad, JC Mateo.

After Mateo joined the Bloodline, it seems things have taken a turn for the worse for Fatu.

Since tempers continue to flare between the newest iteration of the Bloodline and former member Fatu, having another development in the story could be intriguing as well.

With only so much room during the two-hour show, this addition might be a little unlikely since there is already a Bloodline match confirmed, but it’s definitely still possible.

4. El Grande Americano vs. Penta

While Chad Gable is out with injury, it certainly seems as though Ludwig Kaiser has been more than happy to pick up with El Grande Americano where Gable left off.

With Kaiser having already waged war against Penta a few times in WWE – two singles bouts and one triple threat that also included Pete Dunne – it would be intriguing to see the pair lock up again under slightly different circumstances.

Penta has been able beat Kaiser in two out of the three meetings, with Kaiser having won the triple threat, so technically not yet owning a win over Penta one-on-one.

The big question would be whether he could finally do it under the guise of the currently undefeated El Grande Americano, and if he could, would it even count to Kaiser’s own record?

3. Street Profits vs. Motor City Machine Guns

WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits

Since there continues to be a number of viable contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship, there is not yet a match for the SmackDown titles on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

However, in advance of SummerSlam, perhaps the field of potential contenders could begin to be trimmed down.

While the Motor City Machine Guns have had a compelling run in WWE, there are probably more interesting stories for them to tell away from the multi-team fracas for the titles heading into SummerSlam.

If the Street Profits began to host their own set of title eliminator matches for potential challengers to try and earn the chance to face them at the first-ever two night SummerSlam, it could be fun to watch team after team get added.

2. War Raiders vs. New Day

With the New Day still in mourning over their loss of the World Tag Team Championship to the Judgment Day, they did have an intriguing backstage interaction with the War Raiders.

While the War Raiders were checking in with Adam Pearce and hoping to be “top of the list” of contention for a future title shot, they were interrupted by the New Day.

As the New Day looked to discuss with Pearce their rematch, the War Raiders reminded them that they previously believed only new contenders should get title matches.

It seems like the logical step would be to have these two teams fight it out to see who gets the first crack at the Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the titles.

1. Evolution Showcase

As a way to get as many eyes as possible on the next night’s WWE Evolution premium live event, it would be good to put on a match to showcase how far the division has come.

With such a talented female roster, there are certainly many veterans and recognizable new stars that could link up on screen to make some magic to support viewership of Evolution and use the spot on NBC as a vehicle to promote the next night.

If not a match, there could still be a segment leading into the show – similar to what happened on NXT this week – as a way to entice the network audience to check out Evolution to see more.
