With WWE set for Wrestlepalooza 2025 on September 20, there could be some big heel turns on the ESPN PLE debut.
From some shifts that have already been teased to potential surprise returns with dastardly intentions – there are a number of heel turns that could arise at the event.
Here are eight potential heel turns at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025.
8. Jey Uso

While it seems that Jey Uso has been exhibiting some questionable behavior as of late – the shift could come to a head at Wrestlepalooza 2025.
With the fan favorite star still certainly on top with fans, his attitude towards the other babyfaces and their plight has noticeably shifted.
Taking up Roman Reigns’ advice to lookout for himself first and foremost, it seems that Jey Uso has no time for the greater good.
Despite the fact that he has reunited with Jimmy Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed – it doesn’t mean that there isn’t still trouble brewing with Jey.

7. LA Knight

While it isn’t clear what is going on with Jey Uso, the star that has been taking the brunt of it is in fact LA Knight.
Since Knight has now been on the recieving end of multiple strays from Jey Uso – it could lead him to have his own heel motivations moving forward.
Despite his poor treatment of Knight, Jey’s selfishness has done little to sway the live crowd away from his favor – a fact which LA Knight could absolutely point out in a future “you people!” promo.
Potentially aligning with The Vision, LA Knight could have a whole new attitude in the near future.

6. Asuka

A heel turn that seems squarely underway and could end up being revealed in advance of the big ESPN PLE debut is that of Asuka.
With recent shifting dynamics between IYO SKY and the Kabuki Warriors, it certainly seems that Asuka is turning towards the dark side.
Getting into conflict with SKY’s allies Rhea Ripley and Nikki Bella, it doesn’t seem that Asuka’s negative attitude is helping IYO SKY or Kairi Sane.
With Sane appearing regretful in scenes with Asuka speaking harshly to others, it is possible Sane will remain a face while it is only Asuka turning heel.

5. Bianca Belair

After picking multiple broken fingers during her WrestleMania 41 match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY – Bianca Belair has remained out of in-ring action due to the injury.
Despite her prolonged absence, she has still made appearances on WWE TV including being a special guest referee in a match with Jade Cargill taking on Naomi.
When she is set to return however, it may be the most interesting version of Belair to see her turn to the dark side.
Possibly interfering in IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer’s match for the currently vacant WWE Women’s World Championship or returning after the bout to attack the winner – there are several ways that Bianca Belair could make a major moment on ESPN at Wrestlepalooza by turning heel.

4. The Street Profits

There is much fan debate regarding Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins as the Street Profits are often rumored to be turning heel or breaking up as a team.
With their recent losing streak – including failing to best the Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris 2025 – it could be time for a big change for the Street Profits.
Potentially looking to switch things up in order to finally reclaim their Tag Team titles, Wrestlepalooza could be the perfect place for the duo to make the change apparent.
While the card for the first WWE PLE on ESPN currently doesn’t feature the Street Profits – there could definitely be matches added in the coming week.

3. Bayley

With Bayley having yet to make her in-ring return to WWE, perhaps there could be a more clear future plan for her revealed at Wrestlepalooza.
Since the veteran star has seemingly continued to suffer set backs – missing out on this year’s WrestleMania as well as SummerSlam – her character is clearly struggling.
Featuring in vignettes that seemingly host an argument between Bayley’s heel and face character iterations of the past, she has yet to reveal her true intentions upon her return.
While she could always come back as a babyface – there is a gap left behind by Naomi for an unhinged veteran to wreak havoc on the women’s division – a mantle that could be easily taken up by Bayley.

2. Randy Orton

Cody Rhodes has just made his return to WWE SmackDown after having been taken out of action in storyline by Drew McIntyre.
In the interim though, Randy Orton has taken up the feud with McIntyre as it seems that perhaps the trio could be headed on a collision course with one another.
While the bout for Wrestlepalooza between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship has been made official – Orton has no place yet on the card.
Seemingly poised to make an appearance on the ESPN PLE debut, it could be that the WWE veteran will factor in a major way – by turning heel against long time friend Rhodes.

1. Alexa Bliss

With reports that the initial plans for the unlikely pairing of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss was not expected to last very long – the duo caught fire with fans.
Despite not currently featuring on the card for Wrestlepalooza, given the recognizable names and faces of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – it would make sense to see a match for the pair added before the event.
While it seems that the pairing may still end up falling apart and going on to feud with one another – it would be best if Alexa Bliss were to be the one to turn on Charlotte Flair.
The pairing has already contributed towards Flair’s character being more well received by fans – valuable goodwill that would quickly evaporate if she were to betray Bliss.
