There are several intriguing names that are seemingly set to make big returns to WWE in the very near future.
From current WWE stars that are absent due to injury to others that have not been publicly revealed to be re-signed with the company – there are likely to be several big returns on the horizon.
Here are seven WWE returns that are likely coming soon.
7. Tama Tonga

After having been written off of TV ahead of WrestleMania 41 due to a legitimate injury, Tama Tonga has yet to return.
However with a lot of changes in the Bloodline faction in his absence, there is a high likelihood that upon his return he may need to choose sides.
With the conflict between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa not yet entirely settled, Tama Tonga’s allegiance could be tested.
Unless of course he returns to WWE Raw to link up with Roman Reigns and avoid the Bloodline bad blood entirely!

6. Ilja Dragunov

After being out of action since September 2024 with a torn ACL, Ilja Dragunov saw his rise stunted on the main roster.
However, reportedly poised to return to action in the near future – there are projections spanning from now until October, Dragunov will likely return to a big storyline.
With the mystery of his potential arrival maintained, Dragunov could be the ideal person to challenge the winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Making a return at WWE Clash in Paris 2025 could be a surprise – no matter who the Mad Dragon chooses to target.

5. Brie Bella

One return that fans continue to hope for that has yet to come through in 2025 is an appearance by Brie Bella on WWE TV.
With Nikki Bella challenging Becky Lynch for the women’s Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Paris 2025, it would make complete sense to see a Bella Twins reunion.
Similarly to Nikki’s main event match at the original WWE Evolution, Brie Bella wouldn’t have to compete in order to show her support on-screen for twin sister Nikki.
Possibly just accompanying the WWE Hall of Famer on her entrance at the event, the moment is a big one for Bella as it marks her first singles bout since previously considering herself retired due to injury.

4. GUNTHER

After losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk at SummerSlam, GUNTHER was announced to be out of action due to an injury.
With the nose injury being described as taking him out “indefinitely”, it was separately reported that GUNTHER was already suffering from a nose issue that would require surgery.
Although his absence may continue for a period of time, GUNTHER is expected to be back sooner rather than later.
Reportedly GUNTHER is being considered for John Cena’s last match in December 2025.

3. Ash by Elegance

As fans of the WWE star formerly known as Dana Brooke already know, the star is already announced for her WWE return.
At NXT Heatwave, Jacy Jayne will look to defend the TNA Knockouts Championship against two stars from the promotion – Masha Slamovich and Ash by Elegance, fkr as Dana Brooke.
Now with an entirely new gimmick including a stable that surrounds her, Ash by Elegance will be making a triumphant return to WWE TV.
Hopefully able to capture a singles title during the return to the company, the NXT Women’s Championship is notably not on the line.

2. Otis

While Otis has been off of WWE TV since early May when he suffered at the hands of Rusev – he has now been spotted in Mexico!
Making his return at AAA TripleMania, Alpha Academy star Otis is seemingly back in action after taking time off to rehab a legitimate injury.
While he has yet to make a return to the main roster, perhaps some surprise comeuppance is headed for Rusev at Clash in Paris 2025.
With a Donnybrook match announced for Sheamus to settle his score with Rusev, perhaps Otis could throw some punches as well.

1. Matt & Jeff Hardy

After appearing in the crowd at SummerSlam 2025 for the big tag team Tables, Ladders and Chairs match in homage to the SummerSlam 2000 original – it could be that fans see more from Matt & Jeff Hardy before their contracts end with TNA Wrestling.
With TNA Wrestling still having weekly crossovers on NXT, it seems like only a matter of time before Matt & Jeff Hardy pop back up in WWE again.
Fans will be keeping a watchful eye on what happens with the Hardyz in the fall however after it has been reported by the legends that their contract with TNA Wrestling expires in November 2025.
Potentially able to re-sign and debut in WWE, there could even be time for one more Jeff Hardy versus John Cena battle before the latter retires from competition.
