On the March 16 edition of WWE Raw, Brock Lesnar’s open challenge for WrestleMania 42 was answered and accepted by Oba Femi.
The two-time NXT Champion laid out Lesnar with a powerful Fall From Grace and placed his foot over Brock’s chest in dominant fashion.
Considering there are four weeks until Mania and his status as a free agent means he can appear on either main roster brand, Femi could have a number of matches on WWE TV before ‘The Show of Shows.’
Here are seven potential WWE matches for Oba Femi before he faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
7. Oba Femi vs. Ivar
On the February 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, Oba Femi made his debut on the brand and immediately attacked The War Raiders.
This led to Femi appearing on both Raw and SmackDown on a regular basis over the last month and a half.
WWE should follow up on this attack by having Femi face off with one of the members of The War Raiders.
‘The Ruler’ squaring off with someone like Ivar would show how he competes against bigger competitors similar to Brock Lesnar ahead of his showdown at WrestleMania 42.
6. Oba Femi vs. Otis
Another larger competitor that could match up well with Oba Femi ahead of WrestleMania 42 is Otis.
‘The Ruler’ is someone who should be positioned as a massive threat to Brock Lesnar in the weeks leading up to Mania.
Otis has competed in the ring with some of the bigger opponents on the WWE roster and Oba Femi might just be next up for him.
Femi facing Otis would be a wonderful way to showcase how the two-time NXT Champion can display his power and dominance against any opponent of any size.
5. Oba Femi vs. El Grande Americano
Over the past several weeks, Oba Femi has answered open challenges and come out to defeat different heels on the WWE roster.
Whether it be Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown, Femi has come out to take down several stars, such as Johnny Gargano, The Miz and Kit Wilson.
Looking at the Raw roster, El Grande Americano is someone who can annoy his fellow stars and the fans alike.
Oba Femi coming out to take El Grande and the rest of Los Americanos would be a fun sight as he beats down this group of masked wrestlers on an episode of WWE Raw.

4. Oba Femi vs. Kofi Kingston
Following Oba Femi taking down Brock Lesnar, Kofi Kingston took to social media and asked for ‘The Ruler’ to “avenge us.”
This is in reference to all of the black stars who have fallen victim to Lesnar throughout his career.
From The Rock and Bobby Lashley to Big E and Kingston, Lesnar has dethroned these stars as world champion and ended their reigns in memorable ways over the past two decades plus.
Showing that he can dominate a former champion like Lesnar has done in the past, Oba Femi might just answer a challenge from Kofi Kingston and defeat a former WWE Champion in short order on the road to WrestleMania 42.
3. Oba Femi vs. Austin Theory
Brock Lesnar has been linked to Paul Heyman throughout his career with the WWE Hall of Famer serving as his advocate.
With Lesnar away from WWE for a few years, Heyman has associated himself with new stars and formed The Vision alongside Seth Rollins.
The newest member of The Vision was Austin Theory after weeks of the former United States Champion assisting the group underneath his mask.
Theory stepping up to challenge Oba Femi would be fitting for his character who has some bravado to him before he would eventually be destroyed by ‘The Ruler.’

2. Oba Femi vs. Logan Paul
Speaking of The Vision, Logan Paul has taken on a more prominent role in the group with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed sidelined with injuries.
Paul is still one of the most recognizable WWE stars on the roster today and usually runs his mouth to his fellow talent as well as the fans alike.
With his own bravado and cockiness, Paul could want to face Oba Femi to try to soften him up for Paul Heyman’s other client, Brock Lesnar.
Watching Femi completely run through Paul would be a great way to get the fans behind ‘The Ruler’ in a massive way ahead of the match with Brock at WrestleMania 42.
1. Oba Femi vs. Drew McIntyre
Back at the December 13 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Oba Femi competed in his first main roster match against Cody Rhodes.
This bout went to a no contest with Drew McIntyre coming in to interfere and attack Rhodes, which led to Femi putting his hands on ‘The Scottish Warrior.’
There could be some unfinished business between McIntyre and Femi that might be followed up on ahead of WrestleMania 42.
Femi showing up to SmackDown and facing off with McIntyre would be a big time matchup to feature, giving ‘The Ruler’ an opportunity to defeat one of Brock Lesnar’s former Mania opponents ahead of their colossal showdown.
