The January 5, 2026 episode of WWE Raw will serve as the one year anniversary of the show’s premiere on Netflix.
WWE is putting a lot behind this episode with several title matches already scheduled for this episode from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The January 5 Raw could see several titles changing hands over the course of the evening in Brooklyn.
Here are seven potential title changes at the first WWE Raw of 2026.
7. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY beat Kabuki Warriors to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
At WWE Survivor Series 2025, AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and Lash Legend to win the Women’s WarGames Match.
Following this victory, Ripley and SKY staked their claim for a shot at the Kabuki Warriors’ WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
After IYO scored a singles victory over Kairi Sane on the December 8 episode of Monday Night Raw, a title bout was made official for the January 5, 2026 edition from Brooklyn, New York.
This night should see Rhea and IYO finally put it all together to beat The Kabuki Warriors and become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to start 2026.

6. Nia Jax & Lash Legend insert themselves in the title match to make it a three-way and to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
On the December 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Nia Jax and Lash Legend scored a non-title victory over WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors.
While Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are scheduled to challenge Asuka and Kairi Sane for the titles on the January 5 WWE Raw, this non-title win could lead to Jax and Legend being inserted into the announced bout to kickstart 2026.
Nia and Lash could be added to the scheduled Kabuki Warriors vs. Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match on the first Raw of 2026.
If that is to happen, Jax and Legend could overpower both duos to win the titles and reshape the entire division moving forward.

5. The Usos are back & capture the World Tag Team Championship from AJ Styles and Dragon Lee
On the December 15 edition of WWE Raw, The Usos defeated The New Day to rekindle their long-standing rivalry.
Jimmy and Jey Uso returning to the tag team division should see them become the latest challengers for current World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
With The Usos back in the tag scene, it should only be a matter of time before Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announces their title match against Styles and Lee for the January 5 Raw.
This show from the Barclays Center could be the setting for The Usos to become nine-time WWE World Tag Team Champions by overcoming Styles and Lee on January 5.

4. Rey Mysterio takes the Intercontinental Championship from his son Dominik Mysterio
At the AAA Guerra de Titanes event on December 20, Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix defeated Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.
The ending of the bout saw Rey pinning his son Dominik to pick up the victory for his team.
Ever since making his comeback in November, the WWE Hall of Famer has been trying his best to take his son down a peg in any way he can.
Rey Mysterio dethroning “Dirty Dom” for the Intercontinental Championship could be saved for the first Raw of 2026 to start a final showdown between father and son at WrestleMania 42.

3. Becky Lynch regains the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Maxxine Dupri
On the November 17 episode of Monday Night Raw, Maxxine Dupri defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship thanks to a distraction from the returning AJ Lee.
Ever since this loss, Lynch has been boycotting WWE Raw by not showing up on the show.
With “The Man” expected to be back on the brand very soon, this could lead to an inevitable rematch with Dupri.
Lynch defeating Dupri to win the Women’s IC Title could be an excellent way to help her regain some momentum as 2026 gets started.

2. Bron Breakker dethrones CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship
The first major match made for the January 5, 2026 episode of Monday Night Raw was CM Punk defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker.
This led to Breakker talking a bunch of trash about Punk, including his comments about Punk’s wife AJ Lee. In response, “The Best In The World” started to send some barbs towards Breakker’s father and uncle, Rick and Scott Steiner.
At the age of 28 years old, Breakker could be on the verge of the biggest win of his career so far on January 5.
With The Vision by his side, Breakker may have everything in his favor to begin 2026 as the new World Heavyweight Champion following Monday Night Raw from Barclays Center.

1. Nikki Bella wins the WWE Women’s World Championship in a triple threat against Stephanie Vaquer & Raquel Rodriguez
At WWE Survivor Series 2025, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Nikki Bella to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship.
However, this did not stop Bella from continuing her pursuit of the top prize to the Raw women’s division. This led to Bella interfering in the Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez title bout on the December 15 WWE Raw.
After inserting herself into the picture by causing a no contest to this match, it looks like Vaquer could be about to defend her title against both Bella and Rodriguez.
A triple threat match for the WWE Women’s World Championship could lead to Bella finally getting her hands on the gold in front of the raucous crowd in Brooklyn, New York on January 5.
