While there may have been headline-making returns as of late, WWE is also primed to shake-up the roster with some new signings.
From talent that appeared at a recent SummerSlam tryout to others who are could be coming off the AEW bench in the near future, there are some intriguing prospects for possible WWE signings.
Here are seven potential new WWE signings.
7. Wayne & Wyatt Rhodes

A new generation is set to add the legacy of the Rhodes family in the form Cody & Dustin’s nephews, Wayne & Wyatt Rhodes.
Beginning to make their way around independent promotions in Texas and beyond, the New Texas Outlaws are making quite the impression.
Recently appearing at AEW All In Texas as well, the duo certainly have an intriguing look to match their charisma.
Harkening back to a vintage style, the pair seem to be developing characters that can stand alone as entertaining. Seemingly a perfect fit for NXT at some point, this is definitely a pair to watch.

6. Private Party

While Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen (Private Party) have disappeared from AEW for most of 2025, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t ready to come off the bench.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions could be poised to follow in the footsteps of Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe who ended up re-appearing in NXT rather than being seen in AEW again.
With reports that WWE is interested in Private Party given their TV experience and ready-made characters, they would seem to be a very good fit for the re-building tag division in NXT.
It has also been reported that both Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy’s AEW contracts are set to expire sometime soon, making it an intriguing story to watch in the coming weeks.

5. Octagon Jr

Among the standouts noted from WWE’s acquisition of AAA is Octagon Jr.
While other AAA stars Psycho Clown and Mr Iguana have already made a main roster debut on TV, Octagon Jr has yet to follow up on his impressive debut.
After taking on Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank, Octagon Jr could potentially make an even bigger statement in NXT.
With WWE also having El Hijo del Vikingo on deck to inspire and awe fans with his high flying style, it seems there is still a lot yet to come from the stars of AAA.

4. LJ Cleary

LJ Cleary, the fiancé of Raw star Lyra Valkyria, has already had some WWE screen time this year as he was featured witnessing a brutal attack from Becky Lynch on Valkyria at Money in the Bank.
Cleary is an accomplished professional wrestler in his own right, putting on enjoyable performances throughout the UK and America.
A couple of months after his role at Money in the Bank, Cleary took part in WWE’s SummerSlam week tryouts.
If he impressed WWE in the tryouts, WWE fans could see Cleary make his own WWE debut in the future.

3. Danhausen

Another AEW star that is reportedly wrapping up his time with the company is Danhausen.
While the quirky fan favorite has been missing in action from AEW for over a year – aside from a couple of one-off appearances – he continues to move merchandise and appear across independent wrestling.
It has been reported that Danhausen’s contract with AEW expired last month, meaning he is potentially a free agent, unless WWE has already snagged him or he had time added on.
With reports that WWE was interested in Danhausen and Private Party, it would make sense to see Danhausen signed given his well defined character and TV experience.

2. VertVixen

Another notable name from the recent SummerSlam tryouts was indie wrestling standout VertVixen.
Already well known within independent wrestling, VertVixen has also previously appeared in AEW and ROH.
With a well defined look, character and previous TV experience, the California native would be a solid signing for WWE.
A logical choice to be signed in the future, VertVixen would be a great opponent for the likes of Jordynne Grace and Zaria should she land in NXT.

1. Rayne Leverkusen

An independent wrestler who we know impressed at the recent tryouts was England’s Rayne Leverkusen.
After competing around the UK for promotions like PROGRESS and Pro Wrestling EVE, she made her way stateside for the WWE tryouts.
Named the official MVP of the SummerSlam 2025 tryouts by WWE, Leverkusen evidently made quite the impression at the event.
Given her impressive performance at the tryout, it may be only a matter of time until the “Maiden of Metal” ends up making her mark on WWE.
