With WWE Survivor Series 2025 set to be upon us in short order, there could be some big returns set for the event.
From stars that have been absent due to injury to a WWE Hall of Famer possibly returning to the company — there are quite a few interesting prospects for returns at the event.
Here are seven potential returns at WWE Survivor Series 2025.
7. Liv Morgan
While it could be an outside chance that the star competes at Survivor Series 2025, she could definitely make a big surprise return.
Bringing Morgan back into the fold in advance of the holiday season — even if not yet participating in the in-ring action — could kick start her in 2026.
With Morgan rumored to be set to return as a babyface, there could be a number of big feuds on the horizon for her including Becky Lynch and Roxanne Perez.
Since both could potentially be holding gold by Survivor Series, it could be that Morgan comes back to call her shot.

6. Rey Mysterio
The most likely return at WWE Survivor Series 2025 is seemingly San Diego native, Rey Mysterio.
After being out of action due to injury since before WrestleMania 41, Rey Mysterio is reportedly returning to action in the near future.
Although while he is reportedly set to be ready to go soon, he is not yet scheduled for a match on the Survivor Series card in his hometown.
With Rey’s son Dominik Mysterio set to take on John Cena for the WWE Intercontinental Championship — the only title in WWE that has eluded him and thereby preventing him from achieving a WWE Grand Slam — Rey could end up proving to be pivotal.

5. GUNTHER
GUNTHER hasn’t been seen in WWE since his loss to CM Punk at Survivor Series 2025 when he dropped the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
While his absence was explained on TV as being “out of action indefinitely” due to a “septal hematoma and an orbital blowout fracture.”
GUNTHER was reportedly dealing with a legitimate nose issue which has accounted for his time off with reports that the Ring General could be set to return soon.
Still rumored to be the final opponent for John Cena set for December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the build to their showdown could start at Survivor Series 2025.

4. Matt & Jeff Hardy
Potentially set to see their current TNA Wrestling contracts end in November 2025, perhaps Matt & Jeff Hardy could pop-up at Survivor Series 2025.
With the Hardy Boyz already set to make a big appearance at NXT Halloween Havoc — resuming their Broken characters with Brother Nero & Broken Matt being shown arising from the Lake of Reincarnation — Dark State might be in over their heads.
While the Hardys remain making appearances across TNA Wrestling and NXT now as both Tag Team Champions for both brands, it could be a different landscape by the time Survivor Series comes around.
Potentially a fun surprise return that could set up an intriguing last minute possibility of John Cena facing Jeff Hardy in one of his final appearances on WWE Raw — there are a lot of exciting prospects should the duo return in 2025.

3. Brie Bella
While fans have continued to hope to see the reunion of the Bella Twins in WWE, it could be that the time is finally upon us.
Although Nikki Bella has been recently occupied befriending Stephanie Vaquer to fend off Judgment Day, it could be that she will be reunited with her original tag team partner soon.
Making a big return at Survivor Series 2025 to reunite with Nikki now makes a ton of sense in lieu of waiting for a Royal Rumble 2026 return for Brie Bella.
Able to eventually capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for the first time together in the near future — the Bella Twins could be back in action soon.

2. Logan Paul
Logan Paul has been away from WWE action since he was defeated by John Cena at Clash in Paris 2025 in late August.
Definitely able to make a big return at Survivor Series and make a heelish impact in multiple storylines, he could definitely make a surprise appearance.
With the direction of the Survivor Series WarGames men’s match seemingly slightly in flux with the removal of Seth Rollins due to injury — Logan Paul would make a solid last-minute addition to the heel squad.
Participating in his first WarGames match, Paul would certainly be set to have some major moment go viral with the unique ring set-up lending to his high flying antics.

1. Roman Reigns
It isn’t unusual for Roman Reigns to go long stretches without an appearance on TV but at Crown Jewel 2025 in Australia —Reigns made his displeasure with his loss to Bronson Reed known.
While Roman Reigns continues to be rumored to be anchoring the babyface team for the men’s WarGames match, he has disappeared from WWE TV.
Telling Jimmy & Jey Uso that he didn’t want to them “until Christmas,” it would seem that perhaps Reigns’ appearance to join the team could come down to the wire.
Adding tension to whether or not Reigns would show up for the bout — particularly since his fellow co-captain is rumored to be CM Punk — it could be that fans wait all the way until Survivor Series 2025 to see the return of Roman Reigns.
