On February 14, All Elite Wrestling will return to Australia for their Grand Slam Australia event.
The company has announced a stacked lineup for the show, but there could also be some surprise returns for their return to Australia..
Whether it be those returning from a long layoff or coming back from a serious injury, Grand Slam Australia could have some major returns that shift the entire landscape of All Elite Wrestling moving forward.
Here are seven potential returns at AEW Grand Slam Australia 2026.
7. Will Ospreay

Following AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025, Will Ospreay took some time off to undergo neck surgery to recover from lingering injuries.
On the February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, the company aired a vignette hyping the return of Ospreay coming soon.
With AEW Grand Slam Australia being the next event, it feels like the next stage that a return for Ospreay could take place.
Wanting to bring him back into the mix ahead of AEW Revolution 2026, it would be wise to have Ospreay return at Grand Slam Australia to set up a big showdown with someone like the man who took him out, Jon Moxley.

6. Buddy Matthews

Back at AEW Grand Slam Australia 2025, Kazuchika Okada defeated Buddy Matthews to retain the AEW Continental Championship.
This bout saw Matthews suffer an ankle injury that has sidelined him for over a year now.
Despite no signs of a return at this time, Matthews could make his way back to the promotion back at the same event he was sidelined.
Matthews coming back for AEW Grand Slam Australia would feel like a homecoming in several different ways to his home country and the promotion.

5. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)

In January 2025, Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin defeated Private Party to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Since losing the titles, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have been absent from AEW television for over the past year now.
This led to reports circulating that Private Party’s AEW contracts were set to expire and the duo was gaining interest from WWE.
While they could leave the promotion and head to WWE, AEW would be wise to bring Private Party back into the fold to bolster their tag ranks and could make a comeback at the Grand Slam Australia special event on February 14.

4. Queen Aminata

Ahead of the first ever Women’s Blood & Guts Match, Queen Aminata was removed from the lineup for the bout thanks to suffering a neck injury.
Since then, Aminata started training for her potential in-ring return and could be on her way back to competition sooner rather than later.
With the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships set to be up for grabs at Grand Slam Australia, Aminata could be thrusted back into the mix in a major way,
Whether it be alongside Red Velvet or someone new, Aminata could play a crucial role in the women’s division following a return at AEW Grand Slam Australia.

3. Thunder Rosa

Following AEW All In: Texas 2025, Thunder Rosa announced that she was taking time off to recover from lingering injuries.
Most recently, Rosa was seen backstage at an AEW Collision TV taping and stated that she was ready to return to the road.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been one of the most popular female stars to ever step foot in the company and should be given a significant stage to make her comeback.
AEW Grand Slam Australia 2026 could be the perfect setting for Rosa to make her return and immediately be positioned back into the title picture for the women’s division.

2. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

For over a year now, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. has been absent from AEW programming.
With her last appearance taking place in November 2024, it feels like the right time for Baker to make a comeback to the promotion.
Baker is one of the biggest homegrown stars in the company’s history and someone who should have a place in the company.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion making her return at Grand Slam Australia 2026 would be quite intriguing to see how she mixes it up with the current landscape of the roster, which is much different than it was 18 months ago.

1. Jay White

Ahead of the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view, Jay White was pulled from the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament due to a broken hand injury.
Taking time off to recover from this injury, White also underwent surgery from his shoulder issues as well.
“Switchblade” is someone who was being positioned as a key player in the main event picture in the company prior to being sidelined and could return to a similar role moving forward.
Considering all the time he has been absent from the company’s programming, Grand Slam Australia might be the right time for White to make his grand return to the promotion ahead of their first pay-per-view of the year, AEW Revolution 2026.
