In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 41, a lot of things have been changing on the WWE SmackDown brand.
While there have been new champions being crowned and rivalries heating up, the biggest change has seen various stars debuting or being teased for a potential arrival.
Most recently, former AEW star Rey Fenix made his debut on the April 4 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in an exciting bout against another debuting star in NXT Tag Team Champion Nathan Frazer.
With several stars looking to make their impact on the blue brand, here are seven potential new WWE signings for SmackDown.
7. Sol Ruca

Since debuting on WWE NXT in 2022, Sol Ruca has become one of the most thrilling in-ring performers on the brand.
With her signature Sol Snatcher finisher, Ruca has impressed fans around the world and seems ready for a spot on the WWE main roster.
After recently challenging Chelsea Green for the WWE Women’s United States Championship on NXT, WWE could be preparing the 25 year old for her arrival on the main roster.
Adding Ruca to the SmackDown women’s division is needed to add depth to the scene that most recently introduced a new title and could see Sol earn a consistent role on main roster television.

6. Aleister Black

Over the past few weeks, SmackDown has seen mysterious vignettes airing that has been teasing the arrival of a dark figure.
The belief is that these vignettes are for former AEW star Malakai Black.
Making his comeback to WWE for the first time since 2021, the former NXT Champion will be returning to his Aleister Black persona and should become a prominently featured act moving forward.
There might not be another potential arrival in the coming weeks that will make a bigger impact and have a main event level push quite like Black, who might see himself skyrocket up the ladder much more under Triple H at the helm of WWE creative.

5. Trick Williams

There is probably no other WWE NXT male star who has been mentioned more for a main roster call-up than Trick Williams.
The two-time NXT Champion has been a difference maker and firmly established himself as a top star.
Williams has the look, presence and popularity that feels fitting to be among the top babyfaces on the SmackDown brand.
Whether it be for a reunion with Carmelo Hayes or doing battle with top talent like Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest, Trick feels well prepared to make an immediate impact on the blue brand and should be a key signing for SmackDown following WrestleMania 41.

4. Roxanne Perez

At WWE Royal Rumble 2025, Roxanne Perez entered at the number three spot and went on to make history by setting the record for the longest duration in a women’s Royal Rumble match.
“The Prodigy” then went on to have an impressive showing in the women’s Elimination Chamber match, but this hasn’t led to her proper main roster call-up quite yet.
Despite returning to the NXT brand, it has been apparent that Perez is a ready made talent who has proven herself time and time again on the WWE main roster.
While she did start a rivalry with WWE Raw’s Bayley, the two-time NXT Women’s Champion might be more needed on the SmackDown roster where she can square off with Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill and Naomi.

3. Giulia

Another former NXT Women’s Champion who seems like they are finishing their run on the brand is Giulia.
Debuting for WWE back at NXT No Mercy in September 2024, Giulia quickly thrusted herself into the main title program with Roxanne Perez.
Eventually capturing the gold at NXT New Year’s Evil in January, Giulia’s reign did not last long when Stephanie Vaquer defeated her for the title at Roadblock in March.
While the former STARDOM talent has returned and immediately got back into the title picture, it might be to finish her run on NXT before she becomes the latest signing to SmackDown following WrestleMania 41 weekend.

2. Miro (Rusev)

On April 2, PWInsider reported that former AEW star Miro had been seen at WWE HQ to discuss his imminent return to the company.
Following news of his re-signing with the company, Miro should be set to make his comeback to WWE for the first time since 2020.
Coming back to his Rusev persona, “The Bulgarian Brute” feels like a talent who could potentially be positioned in the main event scene over on SmackDown.
Whether it be against Roman Reigns or Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Rusev could become the premier monster heel on the blue brand for the rest of 2025 and beyond.

1. Saraya (Paige
Following a three-year stint with the promotion, Saraya recently announced that she had mutually parted ways with All Elite Wrestling.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has also made it clear that she is open to making a comeback to WWE.
Despite not being medically cleared to compete in the ring for the company, Saraya feels like a former star who could thrive in the current landscape of WWE with Triple H at the helm of creative instead of Vince McMahon.
Saraya returning as Paige and signing with SmackDown would add some significant star power to the women’s division and set up some tantalising feuds with the likes of Tiffany Stratton or Chelsea Green.
