This Saturday, December 27, AEW Worlds End 2025 will take place from Chicago, Illinois with a stacked lineup from the company.
While the promotion has announced a massive card filled with title matches and high stakes bouts, there could be some last-minute adjustments to what the fans will see come this Saturday.
From added stipulations to new matches scheduled for the lineup, there could be some significant changes over the course of the days ahead of the major show or on the day of.
Here are seven potential last-minute changes to AEW Worlds End 2025.
7. The Death Riders Earn A Shot At TNT Title With A Win In Mixed Nuts Mayhem

On the December 25 AEW Christmas Collision special, Roderick Strong defeated Claudio Castagnoli in the Blue League of the Continental Classic.
Due to this loss, Castagnoli was eliminated from contention in the C2. This led to The Death Riders jumping Strong until Mark Briscoe and Timeless Toni Storm made the save.
It was then announced that Storm will team with Strong, Briscoe and Orange Cassidy to face Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Marina Shafir of The Death Riders in a Mixed Nuts Mayhem Match at AEW Worlds End 2025.
With the group looking to rebound from this loss in the tournament, there could be a last-minute stipulation that could give The Death Riders a shot at Briscoe’s TNT Championship with a victory in this multi-person battle.

6. Babes Of Wrath Get Opportunity At Athena & Mercedes Moné’s Singles Titles With A Victory

At AEW Worlds End 2025, Babes of Wrath will defend the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships against Mercedes Mone and Athena.
The challengers consist of the ROH Women’s World Champion and reigning TBS Champion coming together.
In the past, both Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron have failed to earn a singles win against either champion, but they may have their number in tag team action following their win in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament.
With another victory, Babes of Wrath should earn another opportunity at either the ROH Women’s World Title or TBS Championship in the new year.

5. Falls Count Anywhere Stipulation Added To Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd

On the December 24 AEW Dynamite on 34th Street, Gabe Kidd challenged Darby Allin to a singles match at AEW Worlds End 2025. Later, Kidd would proceed to throw Allin down the same flight of stairs he was thrown down last year.
Allin would accept this challenge on the following day’s AEW Christmas Collision, making this grudge match official for the pay-per-view.
Allin and Kidd have a bitter rivalry stemming from Darby’s issues with The Death Riders and his kidnapping of the NJPW star, trapping him in a bodybag and dragging his flesh behind his vehicle in Philadelphia earlier this year.
Considering the bad blood between the two, AEW should add a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation to Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd to make this a true war that it should be.

4. Brodido vs. The Demand Added To The Card

On the December 24 edition of AEW Dynamite, Bandido defeated Ricochet to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
During the course of the bout, Ricochet received plenty of help from the Gates of Agony. Then after the match, Ricochet attacked Bandido until Brody King made the save.
Following their interactions the past two weeks, it would make sense for Brodido to do battle with The Demand sooner rather than later.
Brodido facing The Demand at AEW Worlds End 2025 would be a compelling match that could put a bow on the issues between these two groups over the past few weeks.

3. Kenny Omega Reveals The Business He Has To Take Care Of

Following their win over The Don Callis Family at AEW Dynamite and Collision: Holiday Bash, The Elite were interviewed and discussed what was next for them.
While The Young Bucks were banged up and not cleared for the rest of 2025, Kenny Omega stated that he had some unfinished business to take care of.
With days remaining until AEW Worlds End 2025, Omega is currently not scheduled to appear during the pay-per-view.
The company adding a Kenny Omega segment for him to let the fans know his intention would be interesting and could work as a perfect setup for a potential return of his rival, Andrade El Idolo to All Elite Wrestling at Worlds End 2025.

2. The Opps Banned From Ringside For AEW World Title Four-Way Main Event

The main event of AEW Worlds End 2025 will see Samoa Joe defend the AEW World Title in a four-way match against Hangman Adam Page, Swerve Strickland and MJF.
This bout features four former world champions and should prove to be an intense battle that could go anyway.
Since winning the AEW World Championship, Joe has always had The Opps by his side, helping him in all of his endeavors with his challengers.
AEW should ban The Opps from ringside to make sure that the top prize for the company can be vied for between these four top stars at Worlds End.

1. Continental Classic Final Headlines The PPV

Since AEW Worlds End was introduced as a pay-per-view, the leading draw for the event has been the conclusion of the Continental Classic.
After the league play, this year’s tournament will come down to Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher and Jon Moxley.
Considering the four top talents involved, there is a case that the finals of the C2 should be the headline bout for this Saturday’s PPV.
Whether it be Okada vs. Moxley, Takeshita vs. Fletcher or any other matchup, the Continental Classic Final feels more than worthy of closing AEW Worlds End 2025 than any other match on the card.
