With two big title matches already confirmed for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 in Salt Lake City, there are changes still to come.

With potential alterations to the currently confirmed matches, as well as some other bouts that could be added to the card before showtime, there are some impactful changes still coming to the event just over a week away.

Here are seven changes to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

7. Randy Orton Special Guest Referee

After the brutal rivalry has continued between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, it could be that their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event needs a special referee.

With Randy Orton having some vested interest in the bout, perhaps he could serve as the guest referee for the match.

Able to use plenty of latitude to allow the combatants to exercise their violence, Orton’s facial expressions throughout would also be highly entertaining.

Adding an element of mystery surrounding how Orton could impact the result or what he may end up doing could ratchet up the drama and intensity of the match to a whole new level.

6. Liv Morgan Returns

After suffering a separated shoulder during a match against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of WWE Raw, Liv Morgan has been out of in-ring action but could be nearing a return soon.

Possibly able to pop up at Saturday Night’s Main Event to make a big surprise return, her mere presence could shake up a women’s title match.

However, a return so soon potentially shouldn’t be expected.

Instead, Liv Morgan is expected to more likely be back in action around early 2026, but there’s a possibility of a sooner return if things go well.

5. Bron Breakker Takes Out Jey Uso

As a battle royal on WWE Raw determined who would face CM Punk for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the winner ended up being Jey Uso.

However, there could be twists and turns yet to come on the road to next Saturday’s big event.

With Bron Breakker clearly displeased at having to hand over the title to Adam Pearce to begin with, he is unlikely to stop targeting the top title vacated by Seth Rollins who he injured in storyline.

Possibly eliminating the mystery entirely regarding whether Jey Uso will turn heel, Bron Breakker might wipe out Uso before the event to take on CM Punk himself.

4. Shake-Ups On Commentary

With recent rotations in the WWE commentary teams, it could be that Saturday Night’s Main Event ends up getting a new pair on the call.

While staple WWE broadcaster Michael Cole has been known to anchor the event, there is an opportunity for his colleagues to switch around a bit.

Possibly a chance for Vic Joseph to shine on a big stage, Wade Barrett has also continued to be an exceptional addition to big WWE events in 2025.

Seemingly unlikely to appear, however, is fan favorite Pat McAfee, who has Saturday hosting duties with ESPN’s College Game Day with the college football season continuing until mid-January.

3. LA Knight Added To World Heavyweight Championship Match

As the third man in the ongoing rivalry to capture the next shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, LA Knight has ended up being the odd man out.

With CM Punk winning a triple threat between Punk, Knight and Jey Uso to claim a shot at Seth Rollins after Rollins was forced to vacate the title due to injury, there became a second chance for Uso.

However, with fan favorite LA Knight still lurking ahead of the big event on November 1, there is a definite possibility he could find himself added to the match.

With an intriguing potential heel turn being teased for Jey Uso, it could become even more complex if Knight ends up in the match as well.

2. More Title Matches Added

With two massive matches already confirmed for the card, it would make sense to see a few more bouts added to Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Potentially set to also host two women’s matches for the top titles in WWE, it could be that Raw’s Stephanie Vaquer puts her Women’s World Championship on the line on November 1.

Recently feuding with Roxanne Perez, Vaquer could be destined to do war with The Prodigy to determine who is truly at the top of the division.

Elsewhere, Tiffany Stratton has been rumored to be planned to face Jade Cargill at the event for her WWE Women’s Championship in a rematch of their SummerSlam 2025 showdown.

2. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match Added

Since the return of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, the matches have been largely male dominated, leaving a short list of women who have been featured.

With Chelsea Green (twice), Michin, Zelina Vega, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax and IYO SKY all having earned the designation, it could be time for a pair of heavy hitters to join the list.

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss could certainly decide to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against any number of teams and make magic happen in the ring.

Potentially a solid time to see a growing feud between the champs and the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) ahead of their rumored appearances on opposite teams for Survivor Series WarGames, the match could definitely be added to the line-up.
