The July 28 edition of WWE Raw will be the go-home show ahead of this weekend’s WWE SummerSlam 2025 premium live event.

With the first ever iteration of SummerSlam to be a two-night event, this episode of Raw will have various ramifications of the landscape of the red brand going into this PLE.

Raw will see some things change that can dramatically alter what will go down at MetLife Stadium on August 2 and 3.

Here are seven potential changes to WWE Raw before SummerSlam 2025.

7. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed Physically Dominate Roman Reigns & Jey Uso

On the July 14 edition of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns made his return for the first time since Raw After WrestleMania 41 to go after Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

The following week saw Reigns go face-to-face with Paul Heyman, which led to some words from Breakker and another physical altercation with Jey Uso making the save for his cousin.

Now that it has been made official that Reigns will team with Uso against Breakker and Reed at WWE SummerSlam 2025, it might be time for Paul Heyman’s faction to get the better of the former Bloodline members.

Breakker and Reed physically dominating Reigns and Uso will go a long way to even the playing field and built further anticipation for this WWE SummerSlam 2025 tag team showdown.

6. Chelsea Green & The Secret Hervice Officially Become Part Of The Raw Roster

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice appear on Monday Night Raw.

On the July 14 edition of WWE Raw, Nikki Bella defeated Green. Post match, Piper Niven and Alba Fyre jumped Bella until Stephanie Vaquer made the save.

The following week, Chelsea and The Secret Hervice attacked Vaquer during her match with IYO SKY, which led to a chaotic post match that also featured Naomi and Rhea Ripley.

With Green, The Secret Hervice and Naomi teaming to face Ripley, SKY, Vaquer and Bella in an eight-woman tag on the July 28 WWE Raw, there is a chance that Chelsea and her group could make an official move to the red brand moving forward.

5. Dominik Mysterio Steps Back Into The Squared Circle

At WWE Night of Champions 2025, Dominik Mysterio was scheduled to defend the Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles.

However, Mysterio was not medically cleared to compete due to a rib injury, which delayed this title bout.

After weeks of avoiding “The Phenomenal One,” Mysterio was finally cleared on the July 21 edition of WWE Raw to face Styles at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

Ahead of the big premium live event, Mysterio could step back in the ring for the first time in over a month on the July 28 episode to get ready for his I.C. Title clash at “The Biggest Party of the Summer.”

The New Day have been frustrated ever since losing the World Tag Team Championships to The Judgment Day last month.

On the July 21 episode of WWE Raw, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came up short in a three-way number one contenders match against The LWO and The Creed Brothers.

Following the match, Grayson Waller revealed to both men that Austin Theory was injured and A Town Down Under were no more.

After weeks of teasing a relationship between them all, Waller could officially join The New Day as “Big G” and formally replace Big E within the stable.

3. Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross At WWE SummerSlam 2025 Becomes A No Holds Barred Match

On the July 21 edition of WWE Raw, Karrion Kross avenged his loss to Sami Zayn at WWE Night of Champions 2025 with a win thanks to a lead pipe.

The company announced that Zayn will face Kross for the third time in a month and a half coming up at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

While this is a huge opportunity for both men at one of the biggest premium live events of the year, WWE should add a stipulation to make this third meeting between the two.

Zayn facing Kross in a No Holds Barred Match will make this a much more physically intense battle that will garner more attention at the WWE SummerSlam 2025 premium live event.

2. Bayley Turns Heel On Lyra Valkyria

On the July 14 episode of Monday Night Raw, Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley in a two-out-of-three falls match to become the number one contender for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

However, Lyra was not able to focus solely on the I.C. Title bout against Becky Lynch at WWE SummerSlam 2025 because Bayley got the two a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the July 21 Raw.

After coming up short in this title match, Bayley may feel that she has nothing left to lose and turn back to the dark side.

Bayley turning on Lyra could be a massive shift in the dynamics over in the Raw women’s division that sets up the next bitter rivalry after this upcoming Becky rivalry is over at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

1. GUNTHER & CM Punk Come To Blows Ahead Of WWE SummerSlam 2025

Many fans were shocked when CM Punk pushed down GUNTHER off his feet in a heated exchange on the June 30 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Then on the July 14 episode, Punk won a Gauntlet Match to become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

With this bout being a first time ever meeting, fans have not seen “The Ring General” and “The Best In The World” come to blows in proper fashion.

Ahead of WWE SummerSlam 2025, it would make sense for the company to give fans a sample of what they will see at the event with GUNTHER and Punk brawling for a bit to heat things up heading into August 2.
