WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be the next TV special for the company, airing live on Peacock and NBC on May 24 from Tampa, Florida.
The show has already announced an intriguing lineup of matches, many of which should have ramifications on both WWE Raw and SmackDown moving forward.
Over on Raw, the May 19 episode should lay some more groundwork for the upcoming event and could include some significant changes with the road to Money In The Bank 2025 also being set up.
Here are seven potential changes coming to Raw before Saturday Night’s Main Event.
7. Roxanne Perez Officially Becomes Member Of Raw roster

Since the WWE Raw After WrestleMania 41, Roxanne Perez has been playing a major role on the red brand, all while still being a member of the NXT roster.
The former two-time NXT Women’s Champion has been mixing it up with the top talent on Raw and even featured in the main event of the May 12 episode alongside Giulia.
Following their loss to Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY on last week’s WWE Raw, Perez and Giulia’s partnership seemingly ended in a digital exclusive after the show.
With Giulia becoming an official member of SmackDown, GM Adam Pearce should announce that Roxanne is now part of the Monday Night Raw roster, giving her a fresh start after accomplishing almost everything on Tuesday nights.

6. Rhea Ripley Becomes Number One Contender For IYO SKY’s WWE Women’s World Championship

At WWE WrestleMania 41 Night Two, IYO SKY defeated Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship.
After this instant classic three-way contest, IYO and Rhea have found themselves fighting side-by-side against the duo of Roxanne Perez and Giulia.
Now that the two babyfaces have beaten the pair of former NXT Women’s Champions, it feels like nothing is standing in the way of Ripley and SKY doing battle with one another one more time over the top prize for the Raw women’s division.
The May 19 episode of Raw should see Rhea officially becoming the number one contender for IYO’s WWE Women’s World Championship, potentially setting up a showdown for the upcoming Money In The Bank 2025 event.

5. Liv Morgan Returns From Filming Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo

Towards the end of April it was revealed that Liv Morgan was set to film her first major Hollywood movie in ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’.
Over the past few weeks, Morgan has been overseas filming the movie, leaving the Judgment Day without her presence.
It was recently reported that the filming is already done and Liv will making her way back to WWE Raw.
Now that one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will return, the company could put a focus back on the titles and create new challengers for Liv and Raquel Rodriguez.

4. Penta & El Grande Americano Set Up Mask Vs. Mask Match

At WWE Backlash 2025, Dominik Mysterio defeated Penta to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship thanks to outside interference from El Grande Americano.
Then on the May 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, Penta beat Chad Gable in a singles contest.
After defeating his ‘friend’, it should be Americano who comes looking for revenge on the former AEW star on this week’s Raw.
With Penta scheduled to team with AJ Styles against The Judgment Day, Americano should be a difference maker in helping Finn Balor and JD McDonagh pick up a win – setting up a future mask vs. mask match for a later date.

3. CM Punk & Sami Zayn Tease Dissension

On the May 12 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso came together to fight off Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.
This set Punk and Zayn up to team together against the pair of Paul Heyman Guys on May 24 at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
After the bout was announced, there was a backstage segment where Punk admitted that he is having a hard time trusting anyone after being betrayed by Heyman at WrestleMania 41.
WWE should play upon Punk’s feeling of mistrust and cause more tension between the two babyfaces heading into their tag team showdown with Rollins and Breakker.

2. Bron Breakker Pins World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso

The May 19 episode of WWE Raw will feature World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso going one-on-one with Bron Breakker in a non-title match.
This will mark the third meeting between the two stars, with Uso and Breakker trading the Intercontinental Championship in 2024.
Now that they have this high profile contest, Bron should pick up a massive win against the reigning champion due to all of the enemies Jey currently has.
Not only does Uso have to deal with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman in Breakker’s corner, but he will also have to have eyes in the back of his head with Logan Paul looming at Saturday Night’s Main Event and GUNTHER on the June 9 episode of Raw.

1. Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker & Paul Heyman Add Another Member

Speaking of the trio of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman, this new group is in need of some fleshing out.
While they have been at the center of much of the conflict on WWE Raw since WrestleMania 41, Rollins, Heyman and Breakker currently find themselves outnumbered by the babyfaces.
With CM Punk, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn fighting back against them, it is about time that the company adds a new member to this new heel faction.
Whether it be one of Jey’s enemies in Logan Paul or GUNTHER, or someone called up from NXT, this new “Dangerous Alliance” needs to add to their numbers to become the overpowering force they have felt destined to become.
