After failing to capture the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door 2025, MJF may be looking to start a new faction.
Looking at old foes and recent pals alike, MJF could begin to assemble a new super squad around him in his continued quest to reclaim the AEW World Title.
Here are seven AEW stars who could join a brand new MJF faction.
7. Gates of Agony

Recently being shown on screen with MJF, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun seem squarely in the pocket of the former champ.
During the Hurt Syndicate’s AEW Tag Team Title bout against Brodido and FTR at Forbidden Door, there were three masked assailants who emerged.
Appearing out of nowhere towards the end of the match to attack both Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, it was Ricochet and the Gates of Agony who revealed themselves and brawled off with the champs and prevent them from finishing the match, resulting in Brodido becoming champions.
With Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona playing a pivotal role along with Ricochet in the Hurt Syndicate’s downfall at AEW Forbidden Door, it would seem their rivalry with the group isn’t over, and given MJF’s history with the Syndicate, he could play a big role in the conflict.

6. Ricochet

Other than MJF, the next universally loathed heel in AEW could be Ricochet.
He has also been another pivotal player in recent hijinks from MJF.
With Ricochet also playing a major role in costing the Hurt Syndicate the AEW World Tag Team Championship, it seems possible there is an upcoming feud with the group.
However, Ricochet could also become a true wingman for MJF and end up simply directing his violent obnoxiousness towards whoever is next to challenge the Salt of the Earth.

5. Young Bucks

After losing their EVP titles, the Young Bucks have been largely adrift.
In order to reclaim their power and status, they could turn to desperate means by aligning with MJF to make a new super group of heels.
Conversely, MJF could look to recruit the former friends of Hangman Adam Page in an effort to cause maximum emotional damage in his quest to best the cowboy.
With the trio of wildly manipulative and insecure characters forced to continually interact, it could be an even more hilarious layer of the current Young Bucks fall from grace storyline for them to become backup to MJF.

4. Konosuke Takeshita

When it was revealed Wardlow had returned to AEW at Forbidden Door with an attack on Prince Nana, the eventual alliance between the returning Wardlow and the Don Callis Family was unveiled.
While the rest of the Don Callis Family would join Kazuchika Okada and Callis on the ramp to welcome Wardlow to the group, the last to join was Konosuke Takeshita.
Notably not particularly warmly received by Takeshita, he and Wardlow had a staredown but didn’t shake hands or hug as Wardlow had the others.
Potentially looking to depart from the stacked Callis Family, Takeshita could be willing to cozy up to another evil force in AEW in the form of MJF.

3. Kyle Fletcher

Potentially joining in an exodus from the Don Callis Family could be Kyle Fletcher.
With the Protostar having already captured the TNT Championship and seemingly on the rise in AEW, he could be a target to be poached by MJF for a new group.
Easily being able to be explained through the notion that MJF simply paid him off, Fletcher could demonstrate himself as even more of a savage if he is to promptly turn on Callis after MJF helps his rise to success.
Adding muscle and current gold to the team, Fletcher could even find himself in competition with MJF at some point in the future over the AEW World Championship.

2. Killswitch

Returning to action in AEW, Killswitch re-aligned with Nick Wayne since Wayne’s injury took him out of action.
While Killswitch technically had a partner in his AEW Forbidden Door 2025 match against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in Kip Sabian, the pair were clearly not on the same page throughout the bout.
With Sabian seemingly dismissing Killswitch, it could be time for the former Luchasaurus to do something different.
Potentially keeping the mask and gimmick or mixing it up into something new entirely, Killswitch could become a major enforcer for MJF.

1. Jack Perry

When he debuted in AEW as ‘Jungle Boy’, fans may have not expected that down the line a grittier and more anti-authority version of Jack Perry could make the perfect partner-in-crime to MJF.
With his latest iteration being a decidedly darker version of his loose cannon character, Perry hasn’t appeared in AEW yet in 2025 but is reportedly still under contract.
Potentially finding a path forward if he were to return affiliated with MJF, the moment could be an opportunity to rebrand him entirely.
While he may keep his more vicious edge, Perry could also return with a decided new hatred for anyone who wronged him in the past.
