7 AEW Returns Coming Soon

As AEW gears up for their biggest pay-per-view of the summer AEW All In Texas, it seems likely that there could also be some big returns.

From retired AEW stars that are likely to pop-up for an appearance to full-time wrestlers who have been sidelined with injury – there are plenty of returns to choose from.

Here are seven AEW returns that could be coming soon.

7. Bryan Danielson

After having been entirely absent from AEW TV after being effectively killed off in October 2024 at AEW WrestleDream – there was recently a Bryan Danielson sighting.

Shown on screen enjoying the atmosphere at Arena Mexico for AEW’s recent edition of TV at the historic venue, Danielson could be poised to make an AEW return appearance.

With Moxley set to face Hangman Adam Page at AEW All In Texas for the AEW World Championship that he has held since beating Danielson for it – perhaps the American Dragon could return for a very special reason.

Confirmed for appearances surrounding the big pay-per-view, we’ll have to wait and see if Danielson actually gets involved in.

6. Cope

AEW star Adam Copeland, formerly WWE star Edge

After being an AEW staple for quite some time – Cope was taken out of action by a vicious betrayal at the hands of FTR in April after AEW Dynasty.

While the former TNT Champion has disappeared from AEW TV since, it would make sense for the veteran star to make a return in the near future.

While there were some rumors that he could potentially reunite with Christian Cage to take on FTR, the speculation was shot down with note that Cage would instead be continuing to lead up the Patriarchy.

It seems Cope’s return plans remain a closely guarded secret but one thing is for sure – he will certainly be out for revenge against FTR.

5. Darby Allin

After being written off of AEW TV in a dramatic way – being thrown down a long flight of stairs by Jon Moxley – Darby Allin hasn’t been seen in AEW at all in 2025.

In real life however, Allin was taking time off to summit Mount Everest, a goal that he had previously been targeting but was delayed after he suffered an injury.

After it was confirmed on social media that he successfully summited Mount Everest, Allin could be headed back into AEW action sooner rather than later.

Seemingly likely to return in order to help overthrow Moxley’s rule over AEW once and for all, it seems as though Darby Allin will be back in the near future.

4. Sting

AEW star Sting

Sting may be retired from in-ring competition – but he definitely remains under contract with AEW.

With AEW All In Texas set to be one of the company’s biggest events, it would make total sense to see the legendary star make a return appearance at or around the pay-per-view.

Luckily, he doesn’t have far to go – since Sting currently is a proud resident of Waxahachie, Texas.

While it seems certain Sting will at least make some sort of appearance surrounding the event – it might be even better to see him back in action with Darby Allin to deliver a beatdown to someone.

3. Britt Baker

Amid Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.’s continue AEW absence, rumors began to swirl regarding just how long she may still have left on her contract with the company.

With other AEW stars departing for WWE, speculation escalated that perhaps Baker would find second life outside of the company but then – a rumor killer emerged.

It was reported by Dave Meltzer that Baker is still signed to AEW, still has an amount of time left on her AEW contract but was just not being used at the moment.

With Mercedes Mone poised to take on Timeless Toni Storm at AEW All In Texas, maybe the return of the former AEW Women’s World Champion could come at the big stadium event.

2. Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson has been out of action since November 2024 when he suffered a broken fibula during a Continental Classic match against Will Ospreay on AEW Collision.

According to a recent mention from Dave Meltzer, Robinson is reportedly close to returning to in-ring action.

Potentially harkening the return of Austin and Colten Gunn – who have been largely absent except for one match in the time that Robinson has been gone – it could be that the Bang Bang Gang are close to returning.

The fourth member, Jay White remains out of action due to injury after having sustained a broken hand during an AEW TV match back in March.

1. Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston has been out of in-ring action for over a year after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus, as well as a broken tibia during a match against Gabe Kidd in NJPW.

It was previously reported that his return could come as soon as June 2025 but Kingston shared an update ahead of Double or Nothing that he ‘wasn’t there yet’ regarding an in-ring return.

With AEW’s biggest stateside show ever set for AEW All In Texas, fans are certainly hopeful that Eddie Kingston could make a surprise return.

Whether it might be to help or hurt Moxley would remain to be seen – but perhaps there is a way for Kingston to make a special appearance at the big show even if he isn’t on the card.
