WWE WrestleMania 41 saw six major championships change hands, however, with the flagship PLE now well in the rear-view mirror, attention turns to what’s next.
Major shows are on the horizon—Backlash and NXT’s Battleground in May, followed by Money in the Bank in June, and SummerSlam in August.
At these events, more titles are sure to change hands – here are some potential championship changes we could soon see soon.
6. Seth Rollins Defeats Jey Uso For World Heavyweight Championship

Jey Uso had his feel-good moment at WrestleMania 41 — a title win that few would have predicted in the years leading up to it.
It would be expected that he makes it past Logan Paul at WWE’s Backlash, but the real question is: how long will his reign last after that?
With Seth Rollins now aligned with Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman, the group has quickly established itself as an undeniably cool and massively over heel faction – as a result, Rollins feels like the heir apparent to Uso’s title.
Could a title change be on the horizon as soon as SummerSlam?

5. Becky Lynch Captures Women’s Intercontinental Championship

Returning to a hero’s fanfare at WrestleMania, Becky Lynch teamed with fellow Irishwoman and Intercontinental Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria, only to turn on her partner the following night.
This set up a title match at WWE’s Backlash premium live event on 10 May.
While this match may mark the start of a longer feud, it seems likely that the title will change hands.
With the pair already having delivered an excellent match at Halloween Havoc 2023 in NXT, fans can expect the same in-ring chemistry once again.

4. Trick Williams Becomes Three-Time NXT Champion

Trick Williams has been feuding across two promotions — with NXT Champion Oba Femi in his home company, and TNA Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry in WWE’s partner promotion.
Next week on NXT, Trick enters a battle royal to determine the number one contender for Femi’s title at Battleground on 25 May — and he seems the likely winner.
A win over Femi at Battleground would make Trick a three-time NXT Champion.
Even more intriguingly, it could set up a champion vs champion clash between Trick and Hendry — with the winner taking all the gold.

3. Finn Balor Defeats Dominik Mysterio for Intercontinental Championship

One of the most surprising moments of WrestleMania 41 was Dominik Mysterio’s reception, as his Intercontinental title win received one of the loudest pops of the weekend.
The man he pinned to win the title in the four-way match was none other than his Judgment Day teammate, Finn Balor.
Balor seemingly brushed this off with the comment, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, but it seems likely that he will be Mysterio’s eventual opponent.
While it seems unlikely to happen at WWE’s Backlash, we could see this match on the Money in the Bank card.

2. Zaria Betrays Sol Ruca And Wins NXT Women’s North American Championship

NXT North American Women’s Champion Sol Ruca and her tag partner Zaria appear to be heading for a split.
On the 29 April episode of NXT, Kelani Jordan challenged Ruca for the title backstage, and just as Ruca seemed ready to accept, Zaria cut in to say Jordan would need to go through her first.
Ruca didn’t look pleased, and with Zaria clearly eyeing the title for herself, a match between them seems inevitable — possibly as soon as NXT Battleground on 25 May.
A Zaria title win could also pave the way for Ruca’s timely move to WWE’s main roster.

1. Cody Rhodes Regains WWE Undisputed Championship

Winning the title in divisive fashion at WrestleMania, a long reign is unlikely for John Cena.
With the 48-year-old icon set to retire at the end of the year, the clock is very much ticking on his final WWE run.
It seems likely that he’ll get past long-time rival Randy Orton at Backlash, potentially holding onto the title through the summer.
However, a rematch with Cody Rhodes feels inevitable — and with Cena’s time running out, it’s a matter of when, not if, that showdown takes place.
