WWE is heading down the home stretch of the road to WrestleMania 42 with eight matches already announced for the two-night premium live event.
While these bouts have been announced, the company could make some adjustments to these matches or feuds that have been built for April 18 and 19.
Considering that there are other stars who have been used to build these rivalries, WWE could add other names to currently scheduled matches on the WrestleMania 42 card.
Here are six WWE stars to be potentially added to WrestleMania 42 matches.
6. Kairi Sane Added To Asuka vs. IYO SKY
In 2025, Asuka returned to WWE and looked to reunite with her former Damage CTRL stablemates Kairi Sane and IYO SKY.
Wanting to resume her role as a senpai to both Sane and SKY, “The Empress of Tomorrow” has taken a more domineering role and came off as jealous of their individual success.
This led to IYO being betrayed by The Kabuki Warriors, while her relationship with Asuka and Kairi has gotten more and more abusive. It now looks like IYO and Asuka are on their way to a collision course.
While it seems like IYO and Asuka will face each other one-on-one, Kairi could be inserted to make this a three-way and see who is the better woman between all of these former Damage CTRL members.
5. Penta Added To Potential Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio Match
On the March 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship thanks in large part to Finn Balor choosing to not help his Judgment Day stablemate and stopping JD McDonagh from helping.
This led to The Judgment Day turning on and attacking Balor after years of dissension and issues between the two sides.
It now seems like Balor is on his way to facing “Dirty Dom” in a grudge match to settle the score between the two at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”
However, WWE could put a bigger spotlight on the IC Title by inserting Penta into this fray to make this a triple threat match at WrestleMania 42.
4. The Judgment Day Added To WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Multi-Team Match
Speaking of The Judgment Day, the ladies in the group could find themselves on the WrestleMania 42 card by returning to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship picture.
Over on Friday Night SmackDown, The Irresistible Forces have had to fight off challenges from The Bella Twins and the duo of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Meanwhile on WWE Raw, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria have earned their shot at the titles against Nia Jax and Lash Legend on the March 30 episode from Madison Square Garden.
The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez could interject in this bout to throw their name in the hat for what should be a multi-team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Mania.

3. Carmelo Hayes Added To Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams United States Championship Match
To start 2026, Carmelo Hayes adopted the United States Championship open challenge and has truly broken out as a highlight of Friday Night SmackDown every week.
Becoming a must-watch star on the blue brand, Melo put on some spectacular performances against the likes of Leon Slater, Rey Fenix and Ilja Dragunov.
However, Sami Zayn defeated Hayes to win the United States Championship on the March 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown and will now face Trick Williams for the title at WrestleMania 42.
Considering Williams interfered in that matchup, it only makes sense for Melo to be inserted into the mix of Trick and Sami for the US Title at “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”
2. The Usos Added To CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns World Heavyweight Championship Bout
On the March 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk took things to a personal level in his rivalry with Roman Reigns by saying he will bury “The OTC” next to his late father.
This led to Roman’s cousins The Usos stepping up and having an intense confrontation with Punk, demanding an apology for his disrespect against their family.
The Usos then played a role in the first major physicality between the two men when Jey Uso called the shot for Reigns to attack Punk and put him through the commentary table on the March 23 WWE Raw.
The Usos being inserted as special guest referee and enforcer for the Punk vs. Reigns World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 42 could put them front and center involved in this main event showdown.
1. Drew McIntyre & Jacob Fatu Added To Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton Undisputed WWE Championship Match
On the March 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre to win the Undisputed WWE Championship thanks to Jacob Fatu stopping “The Scottish Warrior” from using a steel chair.
Since the start of 2026, McIntyre and Fatu have been entrenched in the WWE Title picture and in a feud with Rhodes.
However, Randy Orton defeated Rhodes, Logan Paul, Trick Williams, LA Knight and Je’Von Evans to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber to earn his shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.
While the two rivals have been announced for an Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania 42, McIntyre and Fatu could be inserted into the Rhodes vs. Orton Undisputed WWE Championship Match, making it a four-way main event for one of the nights of “The Show of Shows.”
