With the WWE Raw and SmackDown rosters being as deep as they are there are bound to be stars who get lost in the shuffle, thankfully NXT has an excellent rack record in turning around talent’s fortunes.
Tuesday nights have often proved to be an ideal environment for stars to hit the reset button and rebuild their careers, rather than languish without much direction on WWE Raw or SmackDown.
Here are six potential WWE Raw and SmackDown stars who could greatly benefit from a move to NXT.
6. Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega has been an underrated in-ring worker over the past few years despite finding a consistent role in the LWO.
Vega has always been a great talker on the microphone, but her showings against Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan have showcased how much she’s grown inside the squared circle.
With her experience on the main roster, Zelina could offer a lot to any newer star on the WWE NXT brand at this time.
While Vega is lower on the card on WWE Raw and SmackDown, she could be a reliable talent who can put on a great match with the likes of Jaida Parker, Lola Vice or Nikkita Lyons on NXT.

5. Giovanni Vinci

After being excommunicated from Imperium in April, Giovanni Vinci has struggled to find a consistent place on either Raw or SmackDown.
Vinci recently received a repackaging back to his NXT character on the SmackDown brand, but he was immediately humiliated in a pair of quick losses to Apollo Crews.
This seemed to be building towards something better for the former Imperium star, however, it has now been weeks since his last appearance and he hasn’t yet got his revenge on Crews. With no word on when he will be back, a move to NXT brand may be the best course of action.
Vinci is an exceptional in-ring worker who can help the current NXT men’s division and deliver must-see matches against a litany of talent, such as Wes Lee, Je’Von Evans and Nathan Frazer.

4. Blair Davenport

During the 2024 WWE Draft, Blair Davenport was called up to the main roster via the SmackDown brand.
Davenport was featured in a rivalry with Naomi shortly after this, but when that feud was over, she has not been seen much on Friday nights.
To many fans, Davenport had only scratched the surface on what she could do on NXT prior to her departure earlier this year.
The former World of Stardom Champion getting more time in NXT could be beneficial to not just herself, but the rising stars on the developmental brand.

3. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin was another name called up from NXT brand to Friday Night SmackDown during the 2024 WWE Draft.
After a widely praised second stint on the developmental brand helping the likes of Bron Breakker and more, Corbin should have been continuing his resurgence on the main roster, but that hasn’t been the case.
Corbin was randomly paired with Apollo Crews in a babyface tag team, but he hasn’t been featured as prominent as he once was during his first run on the main roster.
The former United States Champion could be better utilized on the NXT roster where his years of experience will help various stars and help himself to be better positioned among the men’s division there.

2. Omos

Omos is the tallest competitor in all of WWE, but after some big matches in 2023 against Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins, the giant hasn’t been seen much in 2024.
Omos has shown that he has so much to offer outside of his impressive size and strength with a charm that has sadly been seen more on social media than on WWE TV.
Now with MVP no longer by his side after leaving the company, it might be time for Omos to move down to NXT where he can gain necessary experience to become a more polished performer.
Omos would be quite the intimidating force who could help some plucky underdog babyface to overcome a giant of his stature on the NXT brand.

1. Santos Escobar

Once one of the rising stars on NXT, Santos Escobar has had an up-and-down stint on the WWE main roster so far.
Escobar was prominently featured as a member of the LWO and then as a rival to Rey Mysterio when he formed Legado Del Fantasma.
However, 2024 has not been a good year for Santos with his WWE TV appearances being rather sporadic at times.
Escobar could potentially go from a mid-carder on SmackDown to an NXT main eventer, even taking the entire Legado Del Fantasma faction to Tuesday nights along with him.
