WWE NXT has been firing on all cylinders for much of 2025 with new stars arriving and huge events that have garnered interest from the audience.
Ever since the brand moved to the CW Network, there has been a renewed focus on the stars on the show and returns that have helped bolster the roster.
Whether it be main roster talent making their way back to NXT or free agents re-signing with the company altogether, there could be some more returns in the weeks and months to come that could make a significant impact.
Here are six WWE NXT returns potentially coming soon.
6. Ridge Holland

In 2024, Ridge Holland shocked the NXT audience when he turned on Chase U and became his own man once again.
Getting a major push that saw him challenge for the NXT Championship, Holland became one of the biggest heels on the brand.
However, 2025 has seen his role diminish over time with him not being seen on the show since early May.
Holland could return and potentially join forces with his former rival Shawn Spears in The Culling to add to their ranks in what would be an intriguing story to tell upon his return to the roster.

5. Indi Hartwell

In November 2024, Indi Hartwell was released from WWE after five years with the promotion.
The Australian born star hit the ground running on the independent scene upon the end of her no-compete clause and then recently signed with TNA Wrestling.
Since then, Hartwell has been establishing herself as a consistently featured talent for the company’s Knockouts division.
Thanks to the promotion’s partnership with WWE, it shouldn’t be too long before fans could see Indi make her way back on their screens over on NXT.

4. Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin)

During 2023 and 2024, Baron Corbin became one of the most prominent stars on the NXT roster as both a singles and tag team competitor.
In the 2024 WWE Draft, Corbin made the move to SmackDown, but failed to find his footing and was eventually released from the company in November 2024.
Since his departure, Corbin has become Bishop Dyer on the independent scene and made a name for himself in different promotions, including Major League Wrestling.
Despite recently winning the MLW World Tag Team Championships, it would not be surprising for WWE to give Dyer another shot in the company where he could really benefit the younger talent back on NXT.

3. Donovan Dijak

Someone who was one of NXT’s most consistent in-ring competitors for years was Donovan Dijak.
Back in June 2024, Dijak’s contract expired, which led to him heading back to the independent scene where he has once again become a top talent for several promotions.
Most notably, Dijak has joined forces with Bishop Dyer to become The Skyscrapers in Major League Wrestling and captured the MLW World Tag Team Championships.
With the impressive work he has displayed since his departure, it shouldn’t be long before WWE calls him back for a return where he could once again be a standout on the NXT roster with his stellar in-ring work.

2. William Regal

Ever since returning to WWE in 2023, William Regal has made very sparing appearances on the company’s programming.
Working with his son Charlie Dempsey, Regal tried to give advice to him and even aligned with his then rival Lexis King.
Still more than capable to be an entertaining on-screen character, NXT would be hard-pressed to find anyone more stoic and having the credibility of Regal to play any number of roles.
If Regal were to make his way back as a manager for his son, Dempsey could see his push tremendously increase and potentially find himself in the main event mix sooner rather than later.

1. Paige (Saraya)

Following her departure from All Elite Wrestling in March, many fans expected that it would not be long before Saraya made her way back to WWE.
Spending three years with AEW, it only seemed that one way or another Saraya could and would return to her original home.
Now that she is a free agent, it was somewhat surprising to hear the former AEW Women’s World Champion confirm that she has had no talks with WWE about a return.
Going back to her former ring name of Paige, the British star might be better suited to return in an authority figure or managerial role on NXT where she could help some of the younger star before making her in-ring return under some brighter lights.
