On January 6, WWE will make history when Monday Night Raw premieres on Netflix, live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.
Being one of WWE’s most important TV episodes ever, the show will require some surprises and shocking moments throughout the night, whether it be long awaited arrivals or big time returns.
Here are six WWE Raw on Netflix surprises.
6. Penta El Zero Miedo Makes WWE Debut
Over the past few weeks, fans have seen vignettes air with a mysterious fiery circle with a slash through it symbol on the screen.
Then, on the December 30 edition of Monday Night Raw, the latest vignette teasing this arrival saw the facial design of former AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo’s mask.
This basically spells it out that fans should anticipate the introduction of one of the best luchadors in the world today.
With Rey Mysterio scheduled to face The New Day in a tag team match with a mystery partner, this seems like the most likely scenario where Penta could make his presence felt during this show, however, this match is not yet advertised for Monday’s show so perhaps WWE will have different plans.

5. Logan Paul Confronts John Cena
At the WWE Raw on Netflix kickoff event from WWE HQ, Logan Paul was unveiled as the latest addition to the red brand’s roster.
Paul has now officially been confirmed to be returning on Monday’s Netflix premiere, as is The Maverick’s dream opponent John Cena.
Fans are eager to see the return of Cena, who will be kicking off his retirement tour on the broadcast.
Paul confronting Cena could set up this first time meeting, but it could more importantly announce two high profile participants for the upcoming Men’s Royal Rumble match.

4. Hikuleo Debuts & Joins Solo Sikoa’s New Bloodline
Shortly after leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling in June, Hikuleo signed with WWE but has been sat on the sidelines for the past six months.
Recent reports and rumours have indicated that the former IWGP Tag Team Champion is expected to make his debut on the WWE NXT brand.
However, WWE could change the course and have Hikuleo join his real life brothers Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa as part of The New Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa getting a timely assist from Hikuleo could give the big man a huge platform to make his introduction to the WWE audience, while also potentially setting him up for a singles match with Roman Reigns down the line.

3. Becky Lynch Returns To Confront Winner Of Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley
After appearing in the latest WWE Raw on Netflix commercial, many fans have been expecting Becky Lynch to show up on the upcoming premiere episode from Los Angeles.
While Lynch has technically been a free agent since June 1, she has remained on WWE’s roster page throughout the last seven months, suggesting a return was always the plan.
In her absence WWE has been sorely missing the presence of The Man, with the WWE’s Women’s World Title race dominated by one feud for the majority of the second half of 2024.
While Lynch is one of the few female stars who gets important programs outside of the world title scene, she is needed right now to bring some freshness to Raw women’s roster.

2. Drew McIntyre Helps Seth Rollins Defeat CM Punk
At the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere, Drew McIntyre is scheduled to face Jey Uso after his backstage attack several weeks ago.
Jey is coming off his breakout year in 2024 where he soared in popularity and became a top star for the company, but he has not been able to score a singles win over McIntyre up to this date.
While McIntyre should be focused on this bout, it is safe to say there is more than one match that has his attention on the January 6 show.
McIntyre could get involved in the Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa Tribal Combat match, but it would be more surprising to see him help Seth Rollins score a win over his arch nemesis CM Punk in the main event.

1. The Rock Screws Over Roman Reigns Against Solo Sikoa In Tribal Combat
The long-standing mystery as to whether The Rock will be present from the Raw on Netflix premiere has now been answered, as The Final Boss confirmed he will be at the Intuit Dome for the anticipated show.
With his last appearance at WWE Bad Blood being one that only created more questions, it’ll be nice to hopefully hear The Rock speak and hopefully give us an idea of his direction ahead of WrestleMania 41.
While he is reportedly scheduled for a promo on the show, it would be odd for Rock not to play a role of some kind in the Tribal Combat match, especially with The Great One dedicating his appearance to his ancestors.
If The Rock does interfere it seems like it could be at the expense of Roman Reigns, this could then be used as fuel to build to that big Reigns vs. Rock WrestleMania match that seems inevitable.
