It is now official, after much speculation in regards to his status for the show, The Rock has now confirmed that he will be in attendance at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere on Monday, January 6.

While questions still linger regarding his schedule and availability heading into WrestleMania 41, fans will hopefully get some answers at the anticipated show at the Intuit Dome.

If Rock is available for the Road to WrestleMania, several intriguing possibilities could be ahead of him, many of which could be set up on Monday’s Netflix debut.

Here are six surprise plans for The Rock at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere.

6. Helps Solo Sikoa Defeat Roman Reigns In Tribal Combat

WWE's The Rock and Solo Sikoa

For a long while now, a popular theory among many fans has been that The Rock will one day be revealed as the true mastermind behind Solo Sikoa’s New Bloodline, with The Final Boss pulling the strings from afar.

Sikoa himself indicated as such during Rock’s most recent WWE appearance at Bad Blood, being captured on camera by fans in attendance saying that Rock’s appearance was a “part of the plan”.

While Monday’s Tribal Combat is being built as the final chapter of Reigns and Sikoa’s feud, it could prove to be the first in The Rock and Roman Reigns’.

A huge WrestleMania 41 main event between Rock and Reigns is quite literally as big as it gets for WWE, and unlike last year’s attempt at booking it, this time it makes total sense and fans will 100% be on board.

5. Introduces Tribal Chief Championship

Last month a report from WrestleVotes picked up traction online, stating that WWE were considering introducing a new Tribal Chief Championship.

A subsequent report from the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer poured cold water on these potential plans, but there is always a chance these plans could still come to fruition.

In Rock’s post announcing his appearance at the Raw Netflix debut, he dedicated his appearance to his grandfather The High Chief Peter Maivia, grandmother Lia Maivia, his father Rocky Johnson and “all his ancestors”.

In celebration of his family’s heritage, and the battle Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are set to have to rule over the family, perhaps Rock can be the one to introduce the Tribal Chief Championship – putting that, as well as the Ula Fala on the line in the Tribal Combat match.

4. Declares For The 2025 Royal Rumble Match

With all the rumors suggesting The Rock may not be competing at WrestleMania 41, there is one way to put all of that to bed at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere.

The Final Boss declaring for the 30-man Rumble match in a month’s time would not only be his first appearance in the match since 2001, but also all but confirm his second Rumble win also.

If The Rock is in the Rumble, it’s extremely difficult seeing him losing it, hence why he is among the favorites to win this year’s match despite his status for it still being uncertain.

Given the power that Rock has on the TKO Board of Directors, he could even go one step further by announcing his entry at number 30.

3. Challenges Cody Rhodes For Undisputed WWE Championship At WrestleMania 41

As mentioned previously, The Rock could declare that he is taking the number 30 spot in the Royal Rumble match… Or, he could cut that part out entirely by simply challenging Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania 41 now.

The Rock’s power in WWE and TKO makes it perfectly feasible that he could do exactly that. After all, WWE is a business and Rock equals huge box office numbers at the company’s biggest show of the year.

While this would be an unpopular move from a fan standpoint, having Rock as a power hungry ego maniac is the best route to take his character, and would generate a huge obstacle for Cody Rhodes to attempt to overcome at the Show of Shows.

Unfortunately, doing this as early as the Raw on Netflix premiere would have its negatives. Kevin Owens’ predictable loss to Rhodes at the Royal Rumble would be all but set in stone, as would Rhodes’ entire next four months of booking, as nobody would buy that’d he’d lose his title before a showdown with The Rock in Las Vegas.

2. Confronts John Cena

The Rock and John Cena at WWE WrestleMania 40

At WrestleMania 40 we saw The Rock and John Cena face-off inside a WWE ring for the first time since their ‘Twice in a Lifetime’ match at WrestleMania 29.

It was an incredibly cool moment to witness, as Rock laid out his former rival with a Rock Bottom. But with Cena now embarking on his final year in WWE in 2025, perhaps we can see one final chapter in their storied rivalry.

With one win a piece, WrestleMania 41, or perhaps another 2025 PLE later down the line, could see the decider take place between the two legends, in what would be Cena’s final ever appearance at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Admittedly this doesn’t seem like the likeliest route creative will take for both Cena and Rock, so whether it leads to anything or not perhaps we can at least get a confrontation between the two at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere.

1. Attacks BOTH Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa, Claims Tribal Chief Status

Given how The Rock is dedicating his Raw on Netflix appearance to his ancestors, it only makes sense for The Final Boss to play a role in Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa’s Tribal Combat match – no matter what other options lay on the table.

While fans have theorised that Rock will take charge of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline at Monday’s WWE Raw on Netflix premiere, however, perhaps a curve ball could instead be thrown…

Rock laying out both Reigns and Sikoa during Tribal Combat, before claiming the Ula Fala for himself would be an unexpected twist for The Bloodline saga and lead to a sense of excitement heading into WrestleMania season.

Rock could potentially even take Sikoa’s mercenaries with him, or perhaps introduce new members of his own version of The Bloodline. Hikuleo and Lance Anoa’i are two names currently signed to WWE that have yet to play a role in the saga, so perhaps Rock can bring them along as his two underlings.
