Although several WWE stars are out with injury, there are more waiting in the wings to make a return at the opportune moment.
From returning legends to those who have been off of TV for medical reasons, there are some big possible returns coming up.
Here are six potential upcoming returns on WWE Raw.
6. Roman Reigns
While Roman Reigns had featured primarily on SmackDown in the past, it is entirely likely that he could return as a staple member of the WWE Raw brand.
Since the 2025 WWE Draft has yet to occur, Reigns continues to have the ability to move between shows as necessary but has most recently been seen on Raw.
After being last attacked by Seth Rollins’ new ally Bron Breakker at the Raw after WrestleMania, Reigns definitely has scores to settle on Netflix.
With the return of Reigns expected sometime between now and SummerSlam, he could pop-up on either brand.

5. Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus is expected to return ahead of the upcoming all-female premium live event, WWE Evolution.
The last time Stratus was in action was in her hometown of Toronto when she and Tiffany Stratton teamed up at WWE Elimination Chamber to defeat Nia Jax and Candice LeRaw.
Stratus is reportedly in Pittsburgh today, meaning she could return on Raw or during the tapings for this Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
With a few scores that she could possibly look to settle still in WWE, certainly Trish Stratus could see a marquee match in her future in Atlanta at Evolution 2025.

4. Ilja Dragunov
Before he was taken out of action due to injury back in September 2024, Ilja Dragunov seemed poised for big things on the main roster.
However, after suffering a torn ACL at a WWE live event in a match against GUNTHER, he required surgery and rehab in advance of making a big return.
With reports suggesting he could return anywhere between now and October depending on the report, it does seem that he is at least back into training action.
Having been spotted at the Performance Center, hopefully Dragunov is back sooner rather than later.

3. Brie & Nikki Bella
While Nikki Bella has already made a return to action in 2025 including an appearance in the Royal Rumble and on WWE Raw, fans have yet to see her twin sister Brie.
However with Evolution on the horizon, it seems likely that there will at least be an appearance by the duo ahead of the big premium live event.
Possibly making a return together on WWE Raw, they could somehow be involved in the upcoming Evolution match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title.
Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis accepted Finn Balor’s proposal that Liv Morgan’s vacated tag team title be transferred to Roxanne Perez – with a condition. The new champs will be facing a team from Raw, SmackDown and NXT in a four-way at Evolution, meaning the Bella Twins could always pop-up to join the match.

2. Dominik Mysterio
When Dominik Mysterio’s Night of Champions 2025 match against AJ Styles was canceled, it was revealed that it was due to a legitimate injury to Mysterio
On the June 30 edition of WWE Raw, Mysterio presented Styles with a “doctor’s note” that detailed he was indeed injured.
Not only that, but Mysterio had already met with Adam Pearce and settled on the stipulation that if AJ Styles touches Dirty Dom before he’s medically cleared, Styles’ shot at the Intercontinental Championship will be taken away from him.
Whether or not it will end up being Styles who gets the next shot at Mysterio remains to be seen, but it seems Dom will be back in action sooner rather than later.

1. Drew McIntyre
Last in action on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in a brutal steel cage match against Damian Priest in late May, McIntyre has yet to return to TV.
While there hasn’t been much word regarding his status, McIntyre was reportedly set for some time off, although the length isn’t known.
Perhaps waiting for a storyline related reason to return, McIntyre certainly has yet to tangle with John Cena and still has plenty of bad blood with numerous members of the WWE roster.
The perfect dastardly surprise at an opportune moment, perhaps Drew McIntyre is waiting for the ideal moment to strike before making his return.
