With the first-ever two night SummerSlam fast approaching in August, it seems that there is room for new WWE tag teams to debut.
From existing stars joining forces to brand new signees, there could be some exciting movement in the WWE tag team division this summer.
Here are six new WWE tag teams to debut soon.
6. Lucha Bros (Penta & Rey Fenix)

While they were AEW World Tag Team Champions in the past (amongst their other accolades as a team), the Lucha Bros – Penta & Rey Fenix – have yet to be reunited in WWE.
With each drafted to different brands and forging their own paths as singles stars coming with success and fan support, there isn’t a huge need to pair the team up again.
But depending on the results of the WWE Draft 2025, we could end up seeing both brothers on the same brand.
Whenever the reunion of the Lucha Bros finally happens in WWE, fans will undoubtedly be thrilled – not only to see them together but also to see the kind of magic they make in the ring.

5. Roman Reigns & CM Punk

Since the enemy of my enemy is my friend – there is a case to be made that Roman Reigns and CM Punk would share some common enemies.
Among those on a shared hit list include Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman certainly with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed by proxy.
Given a reason to team together, the pair could definitely do some damage before inevitably parting ways.
While their pairing would likely be short lived, it would certainly be legendary while it lasted.

4. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen)

One new WWE tag team could come by way of a brand new signing to the company – former AEW World Tag Team Champions Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen.
After Private Party lost the AEW Tag Team titles to the Hurt Syndicate in January 2025, they never returned to TV.
With reports that their contracts with AEW are not only up “soon” but also that WWE has expressed interest in signing the pair – perhaps we could see them sooner rather than later.
Since the NXT Tag Team division is somewhat lacking at the minute – adding Private Party could be a perfect injection of fun.

3. Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso

Jacob Fatu not only lost the United States Championship recently, he lost his allies.
While technically duo have already had one match as a pair, facing off against Solo Sikoa & JC Mateo on SmackDown – after a post-match beatdown involving Tala Tonga (fka Hikuleo), maybe Jimmy and Jacob will link up officially.
Since Jey Uso has lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it would make sense for he to reunite with the pair as well and go against Solo and his latest attempt at forming a faction to fall behind him.
With the allegiance Tama Tonga still unknown, as he remains out of action due to injury – if he were to align with Fatu and the Usos – it would make an even four-on-four for the latest Bloodline battle.

2. Drew McIntyre & John Cena

Making a big return on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre immediately targeted Randy Orton and by proxy, Cody Rhodes who was also present in the ring with his fiery promo.
With Drew McIntyre set to face Randy Orton at Saturday Night’s Main Event – it may make sense to see the groundwork laid for future showdowns.
If McIntyre were to officially team with Cena, the duo could have an endless number of interactions with the super-duo of Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes – while also potentially laying the groundwork for betrayal at every turn.
Seemingly intent on capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship himself, perhaps McIntyre would be the first one to turn on Cena – unless of course the 17x champ didn’t beat him to the punch.

1. Heel Bianca Belair & Naomi

Although Bianca Belair and Naomi have already been a tag team in the past – with Naomi having become an entirely new iteration of her character – an argument could be made this would be a new team.
No longer bound of the restrictions of babyface ethics, Bianca Belair could adopt any number of new heel nuances in order to cement her character shift.
Similarly to Naomi’s full character change including styling and gear, Belair could also move to the dark side and show off a brand new look.
Whether they are in singles action or working together as a team – the entire women’s division would need to proceed with caution!
