With Rey Fenix set to debut on WWE SmackDown, he won’t be the last big name signing to make an appearance on the brand.
From others who are seemingly departing AEW for WWE to call-ups from NXT, there could be a very different landscape on SmackDown soon.
Here are six potential new WWE SmackDown signings.
6. Aleister Black

Aleister Black poised is to return to WWE, his comeback appearance TV looks to be coming sooner rather than later.
Recently a series of eerie vignettes have aired teasing some sort of ominous presence planned to arrive – the belief is that they are meant to point to the return of Black.
While his signing has not yet been officially confirmed by WWE, it certainly seems the former NXT Champion is set for a return.
Fitting in quite nicely on SmackDown, Black is set to be a big addition to the blue brand moving forward.

5. Trick Williams

Seemingly set for a call-up from NXT is two-time NXT Champion and former North American Champion, Trick Williams.
Former best friend and running mate of Carmelo Hayes, the pair would feud before Hayes made his own way from NXT to SmackDown a year ago.
However, with Trick showing off a new more heelish attitude of late, it seems he may finally understand the frustration that led to his split with Melo in the first place.
While Trick could appear on SmackDown as a rival to Hayes, there’s also a chance they could immediately reunite for a Trick Melo Gang main roster run.

4. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson

While it would be nice if the entire Meta-Four group could be called up from NXT (including Oro Mensah and Noam Dar) it is possible we see the arrival of the Meta Girls on the main roster first.
Already having made impressive showings in matches against main roster stars, it seems to be an entirely likely move to see Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson make the jump to SmackDown.
Both are capable of singles competition but are even better together, making them likely future WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Legend made a main roster appearance as recently as the Royal Rumble, so she especially has to rank near the top of potential NXT main roster call-ups.

3. Axiom and Nathan Frazer

At this point, it doesn’t even seem fair that Axiom and Nathan Frazer are competing in NXT when they have dominated the tag team division for this long.
Having held the NXT Tag Team Championship for the better part of the past year – with a short blip in which they lost to Chase U only to reclaim the titles 19 days later – they have many successful title defenses under their belt.
Recently having been featured in a match against Matt and Jeff Hardy for the TNA World Tag Tag Team Championship, it seems possible that they’ll face the Hardys again down the road.
Maybe next time they meet will be on the WWE main roster.

2. Rusev

Reports have also indicated that another potential new WWE signing is another familiar face – Rusev.
The Bulgarian spent 2010 through 2020 in WWE, and after being released he spent almost five years in AEW as Miro, although he was completely inactive for the last year of that tenure.
Since reports suggest the deal is indeed done and Rusev will be returning to WWE, it would be fun to see him revive his old feud with John Cena.
While it remains uncertain whether he will or will not be accompanied by his wife Lana, it may be Rusev Day again soon!

1. Becky Lynch

The results of WrestleMania 41 could seriously shake up the women’s division on both WWE Raw and SmackDown.
Should Bianca Belair capture the Women’s World Championship, she would presumably go to Raw full-time as their new champion.
Leaving Charlotte Flair or Tiffany Stratton as the top champion on SmackDown, it would be a perfect place for the return of The Man to play spoiler to whoever comes out of WrestleMania as WWE Women’s Champion.
While Lynch has reportedly been re-signed with WWE for some time now, she has yet to return to TV. Making a brand switch to SmackDown could definitely be a fun way to switch up the storylines and potentially even start a new massive feud between herself and Flair given their history.
