WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday promises to be a stacked and star studded card in Las Vegas.
Considering championship gold will be on the line and scores to be settled, there are plenty of things that could be altered for the final night of this year’s Mania.
From added stipulations to new participants in matches, the changes WWE could make at the last minute may greatly impact what will transpire at the biggest show of the year.
Here are six potential last-minute changes to WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday.
6. IYO SKY vs. Asuka Added To The Card

IYO SKY vs Asuka was reportedly planned for WrestleMania 42 but is now possibly set for WWE Backlash 2026 instead
In the weeks leading into WWE WrestleMania 42, the animosity between IYO SKY and Asuka has only increased more and more.
After feeling betrayed by her former protege, ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ has been hellbent on making IYO’s life a living hell.
SKY has tried to convince Kairi Sane that she deserves better treatment from their senpai, but it has all been to no avail.
Following weeks of back-and-forth between the two ladies, it seemed like IYO would face Asuka, but the match has not been announced at this time and could be added to the card for night two at the last minute.
5. Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton For The WWE Women’s United States Championship Added To The Card

Tiffany Stratton defeated Jordynne Grace to become WWE Women’s United States Championship #1 contender
Another last-minute addition to the WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday card could be a title match.
Since making her return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2026, Tiffany Stratton has been looking to become a champion again.
While she came up short against Giulia in a non-title match, it seems Stratton still has her sights set on the WWE Women’s United States Championship.
Stratton challenging Giulia for the title at WrestleMania 42 Sunday would be fitting as it would mark the first time the Women’s US Championship would have been defended on a WWE premium live event.
4. Sheamus Becomes Last-Minute Addition To The WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

Sheamus is chasing the WWE Intercontinental Championship to complete the Grand Slam
On WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Penta will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a six-way Ladder Match.
With Rusev, JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans and Rey Mysterio all challenging, this will be a difficult battlefield for the reigning IC Champion.
To make things even tougher and add a worthy competitor to the field, WWE could add a man that has chased the IC Title for years now in Sheamus.
Making his return for the first time since November 2025, Sheamus might have the most to prove and look to finally win the title that has eluded for so long at Mania.
3. Winner Of Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar Gets A Guaranteed Shot At The World Heavyweight Championship

WrestleMania 42 marks Oba Femi’s first ever Mania match, and Brock Lesnar’s 13th
One of the most anticipated matches of the entire WrestleMania 42 card has to be Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi.
This battle of behemoths has been hyped up and feels like a collision course unlike anything that WWE has seen in a long time.
Considering the two competitors that will be in the ring, it feels like all this Femi vs. Lesnar match needs is some added stakes to make this even bigger than it already is.
Making Brock vs Oba a number one contender’s match with a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship on the line would certainly create an even more intriguing battle between these two men on WrestleMania 42 Sunday.
2. Everyone Banned From Ringside For Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley For The WWE Women’s Championship

Jade Cargill has recently aligned with B-Fab and Michin during her feud with Rhea Ripley
Heading into WrestleMania 42, there have been several individuals who have gotten involved in the feud between Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley.
Ahead of their WWE Women’s Championship match, Cargill has recruited her former rivals in Michin and B-Fab to join forces with her to snuff out the threat that is Ripley.
Meanwhile, Rhea has reunited with her friend IYO SKY in a bid to even the odds in the weeks leading into Mania.
Wanting to see a decisive winner and who is the better competitor, WWE could add a stipulation that everyone is banned from ringside to see who is the best between Rhea and Jade at “The Show of Shows.”
1. Hell In A Cell Stipulation Added To The CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns World Heavyweight Championship Main Event

Roman Reigns has said he doesn’t belong in WWE anymore if he loses to CM Punk at WrestleMania
It has been a while since WWE has had a rivalry that has become so personal and filled with hatred like the one between CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
Over the weeks leading into Mania, Punk has invoked the name of Roman’s late father, while Reigns has called out his rival for his age and feeling he is past his prime.
While this main event will surely be a physical affair, WWE could guarantee that the result is conclusive by adding a last-minute stipulation.
Giving Roman vs. Punk the Hell In A Cell stipulation would give these two megastars the battlefield necessary to see who deserves to walk out of WrestleMania 42 as the rightful World Heavyweight Champion.
