With WWE set for a major event on September 20 in Wrestlepalooza, there could be some big heel turns on the ESPN PLE debut.

From shifts to the dark side that are already being teased to others that could come as a shock to fans – there are some intriguing options for who could make a big shift at the upcoming event.

Here are six potential heel turns at the upcoming WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025.

6. Asuka

Potentially a heel turn already underway, Asuka becoming a heel could be cemented at Wrestlepalooza.

Recently there has been a clearly shifting dynamic between IYO SKY and the Kabuki Warriors.

With Asuka seemingly taking particular offense to Rhea Ripley’s friendship towards SKY, there could be trouble brewing.

Although Kairi Sane seems to appear a bit regretful after negative interactions, Asuka has made herself clear – she isn’t backing down to anybody!

While La Primera has been squarely presented as a babyface so far on the main roster – she faces a major challenge in her upcoming bout.

Instead of taking on Naomi as was planned for Clash at the Castle 2025, Vaquer’s title shot is deferred to Wrestlepalooza where she will take on IYO SKY for the vacant WWE Women’s World Championship.

Since IYO SKY remains a solid fan favorite babyface, it is possible that the night could see an evil iteration of Vaquer unlocked due to the match.

Able to challenge her intensity and passion into a dominate reign against the likes of babyfaces like Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton or Bianca Belair.

4. Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair has been out of in-ring action due to injury since breaking several fingers during her match at WrestleMania 41.

However despite her prolonged absence, she has still made appearances on WWE TV including being a special guest referee in a match with Jade Cargill taking on Naomi.

When she is set to return however, it may be the most interesting version of Belair to see her turn to the dark side.

Potentially working against Cargill as a heel, Belair could end up interfering in a SummerSlam rematch at Wrestlepalooza between Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill.

3. Randy Orton

Cody Rhodes has been off of TV for a few weeks – having departed WWE earlier than Roman Reigns to film his scenes for the upcoming live action film Street Fighter – but in storyline due to a savage beatdown by Drew McIntyre.

Randy Orton has given McIntyre a receipt for the latter’s brutal attack on WWE Champion Cody Rhodes but that doesn’t mean that Orton will never look to take down Rhodes himself.

Having been open previously to Rhodes that he would be looking to challenge him for the WWE Championship in the future – it would actually make complete sense for Randy Orton to turn on Cody Rhodes now.

Whether or not the Wrestlepalooza bout will end up being a triple-threat that includes Orton or if he were seemingly a bystander – he could still make a big moment by turning heel and kicking off a storyline against Cody Rhodes.

2. Street Profits

It isn’t uncommon for both Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins to be rumored to be either turning heel or breaking up in their tag team.

After their loss to the Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris 2025, it makes sense that the Street Profits are frustrated and maybe need a change.

While there is a stacked SmackDown tag team division, it could use another heel team – particularly with #DIY making a recent appearance on NXT.

Potentially looking to switch things up in order to finally reclaim their Tag Team titles, it could be Wrestlepalooza that sees the Street Profits turn heel.

1. Alexa Bliss

While their partnership has been fun, it seems that the unlikely pairing of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will last forever.

Potentially able to extend past Wrestlepalooza – it may make more sense for the duo to split and go into an expected feud with one another.

Another option could be for Bliss to begin to slowly sink further and further into madness, clearly becoming a heel and leaving Charlotte Flair to react.

Whatever direction the duo falls apart, it should be Flair that leaves the team with a more sympathetic bend in the eyes of the audience since the partnership has done a lot to bolster goodwill with fans.
