With a brand new streaming home for premium live events, WWE is preparing for the first PLE on ESPN Wrestlepalooza 2025.
While recent events at Clash in Paris 2025 and the following night’s WWE Raw have started to fill in some gaps surrounding what to expect at Wrestlepalooza – there are still some changes left to come.
Here are six changes coming to WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025.
6. WWE Women’s World Title Match Confirmed

On the September 1 edition of WWE Raw, general manager Adam Pearce confirmed that the current vacant WWE Women’s World Championship would be determined at Wrestlepalooza.
In lieu of some sort of tournament or eliminator to determine who was going to compete for the title though, he instead named the competitors.
Given that both IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer had planned matches for the title against Naomi scrapped after she was pulled from action – therefore it would be the pair that would face off for the title.
Setting the stage for a match between IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer for Wrestlepalooza should prove interesting with SKY recently having had shifting dynamics with Asuka and Kairi Sane potentially teasing a betrayal afoot.

5. Tiffany Stratton Defends WWE Women’s Championship

After Tiffany Stratton was able to retain her WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at SummerSlam, fans have wondered who could be next.
However it seems that Cargill has yet to escape Tiffy Time – or maybe it is the other way around as Cargill continues to feud with Stratton.
During the recent house shows in the lead up to Clash in Paris, Tiffany Stratton was routinely taking on both Jade Cargill and Nia Jax in triple threat matches, potentially teasing a direction for Wrestlepalooza.
Whether the match ends up being a singles bout between Stratton and Cargill or if the live events are foreshadowing a triple threat for Wrestlepalooza – it would be nice to see both top WWE women’s titles on the line at the PLE.

4. The Usos Reunite

After Jimmy Uso ran out to make the save to close the WWE Raw episode on September 1 as Jey Uso faced a potential beatdown in Paris, a new rivalry seemed certain for the reunited brothers.
For the first time on a premium live event since WrestleMania 39 (yes, that long ago!) there could be a reunion of The Usos taking on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Seemingly continuing their emerging Bloodline vs. Vision rivalry after the pair of Bron and Bronson took Roman Reigns out of action “indefinitely”, this tag team match makes sense.
Conceivably with either team able to lift the WWE World Tag Team titles from Judgment Day in the interim – there could be added stakes to the bout by the time September 20 rolls around.

3. No Becky Lynch vs. Bayley

After Becky Lynch retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Paris 2025, she wasn’t done for the night as she later interferred in the main event.
Helping to secure victory for her real life husband Seth Rollins, it does seem that Becky and Seth are now further embroiled a feud with CM Punk.
While it may have seemed a few weeks ago that Becky’s next opponent would be Bayley – that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Although Bayley is seemingly set for a return in the near future – potentially with a new characters since WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce did make specific note that when he spoke to her she sounded a little odd – it doesn’t seem she’s headed on a direct collision course with Becky.

2. Kabuki Warriors vs. IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley Canceled

Ahead of the announcement that IYO SKY would be the one to face Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza, it seemed an entirely different match was being set up.
In a series of backstage interactions showing some developing dynamics between the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) and IYO SKY, a rivalry has been growing between specifically Ripley and Asuka.
With Asuka asserting that she is supporting SKY – at least now that IYO has a title shot at Wrestlepalooza – it does seem that an eventual showdown between the two teams will have to wait.
Possibly set to face off in singles action with Asuka at the event, we’ll have to see how WWE manages to ensure Rhea Ripley is on screen during their PLE debut on ESPN.

1. Brock Lesnar Doesn’t Appear

Although it certainly hasn’t been confirmed that Brock Lesnar is out for Wrestlepalooza – he has yet to be confirmed as in yet either.
With the return of AJ Lee to professional wrestling in a massive mixed tag match, a potentially massive match featuring Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre and the WWE Women’s World Championship already on the line – another main event potential match has been teased.
After attacking John Cena to close SummerSlam 2025, Brock Lesnar disappeared again as quickly as he appeared.
Possibly set up as a contingency plan for Wrestlepalooza, it could end up that the teased main event match for John Cena on ESPN seems like it could be canceled – until Lesnar shows up at the last minute.
