WWE is set to host the second edition of the all-female premium live event Evolution this Sunday, July 13 in Atlanta, Georgia.

While things have certainly needed to shift in the build to the event, there are still more changes yet to be revealed ahead of the big night.

Here are six changes that have had to be made to WWE Evolution 2025 or could be yet to come.

6. Liv Morgan Plans Scrapped

After Liv Morgan picked up an injury, there were several plans that changed from that point forward because of her being out of action.

While she was reportedly set to face IYO SKY at Night of Champions, that match did not end up on the card.

Also, after Morgan’s interaction on-screen with Nikki Bella saw the women trade shots during Bella’s return promo, that storyline, which was leading to an Evolution match, had to halt as well.

One piece of Morgan’s story that remains intact is that the Judgment Day holds the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Raquel Rodriguez bringing on board new member, Roxanne Perez.

5. Four-Way For Women’s Tag Team Championship

While the exact original plan for Evolution in regards to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title is not known, Liv Morgan being out with injury definitely caused a pivot.

In storyline, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis elected to agree with Judgment Day’s nomination of Roxanne Perez to take over Liv Morgan’s half of the tag team titles.

However, the ruling came with the caveat that Perez and Raquel Rodriguez had to prove themselves against a team from each of SmackDown, Raw and NXT.

While SmackDown has seen the pairing of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss pick up a win to get them into the match, the teams from Raw and NXT have been announced as the Kabuki Warriors and ZaRuca respectively.

4. New Match For Nikki Bella

While Nikki Bella made her return to WWE Raw ahead of Evolution, Liv Morgan’s injury significantly changed the plans for the returning legend.

Whether it was a singles match or a Women’s Tag Team Title match that was planned, Morgan being unavailable meant a change in direction for Bella.

On Raw, Bella announced she will now be part of the Evolution battle royal, with the winner earning a title shot at Clash In Paris.

The other participants that have been announced for the battle royal so far are Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile, Natalya and Maxxine Dupri.

3. Naomi To Pull Double Duty With Money In The Bank Cash-In

WWE has confirmed that Naomi and Jade Cargill will face off in a no holds barred match at WWE Evolution, seemingly attempting to put an end to their heated feud.

However with both IYO SKY putting her Women’s World Championship on the line against Rhea Ripley at the event, and Tiffany Stratton putting her WWE Women’s Championship up against Trish Stratus, there are at least two places Naomi could pop up in the night to remind the title holders to proceed with caution.

Or possibly more interestingly, Naomi could also be shown lurking around the Intercontinental Championship three-way match between Becky Lynch, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.

Either way, there’s no shortage of options for a Naomi cash-in at Evolution.

2. More Legends Still To Be Added

One thing that has changed about the Evolution card over the past week is how much more it has filled out – albeit with primarily current main roster and NXT talent.

Despite the fact the event is rapidly approaching – this Sunday, July 13 – there have been some intriguing comments by WWE legends about their potential participation.

With both Brie Bella and Michelle McCool publicly stating that they have not been called by WWE in effort to participate in the event, there is still time for more legends to be added.

With the Evolution battle royal the perfect place for returning favorites to make a pop-up surprise, it may make sense to see the likes of Bella, McCool or even Layla or Paige be reserved as true surprises for the event.

1. Women On Commentary

While the first iteration of Evolution back in 2018 did feature Michael Cole on commentary, he was joined by Renee Young (now known in AEW as Renee Paquette) and Beth Phoenix on the call.

Although any combination of commentators would likely be appropriate for the event, it might make the night more special to have female voices on commentary.

Perhaps able to recruit Beth Phoenix for an appearance, other options seem to include Bianca Belair who remains out of action due to injury and backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley.

It would be a fun change of pace for the special event and could also be a way to incorporate other legends like Alundra Blayze or Mickie James.
