With WWE Clash in Paris 2025 fast approaching on August 31, there are still several big changes that could be made to the card before showtime.
From one championship match that seems poised to be canceled to a potential surprise return – there will certainly be twists and turns on the way to the PLE in Paris.
Here are six changes that could still be made to WWE Clash in Paris 2025.
6. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer Canceled

Currently one of the few confirmed matches for the Clash in Paris 2025 card is for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
After winning a battle royal at WWE Evolution to secure her spot in the match, Stephanie Vaquer is set for her first title match on the main roster in Paris.
However, there are now questions regarding whether or not the match will proceed as planned with current champ Naomi being pulled from a match against IYO SKY set for the August 11 edition of WWE Raw.
After it was announced on-air that Naomi was not medically cleared to compete, it was also noted that Naomi and Jimmy Uso would be making a joint appearance as the guests on this week’s episode of Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, What’s Your Story? which may potentially offer more details.

5. Fatal Four-Way For World Heavyweight Championship

It was made official on the August 12 edition of WWE Raw that there would be a massive match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris 2025.
Champion Seth Rollins will be putting his newly won title on the line against CM Punk, Jey Uso and LA Knight at the event.
While a match featuring some configuration of opponents for Seth Rollins seemed likely – it is an intriguing assortment.
With the potential for shenanigans high – potentially even a interference by Roman Reigns – this match will certainly be one to watch.

4. Roman Reigns Match Announced

Although he has been announced as appearing at Clash in Paris 2025 – there hasn’t been much more about his involvement revealed.
Since it is unknown if he will have a match or appear at the event – there are a lot of possibilities still on the table.
With Bronson Reed now wearing two pairs of shoes boosted from Reigns around his neck – which is cleverly being called the ‘Shoe-la fala’ – perhaps it will be Reed who earns the OTC’s ire in Paris.
Another potential could be Bron Breakker although it may be more likely that their showdown of the spears occurs further down the road.

3. Nikki Bella Replaced

Nikki Bella shared that she suffered a slip of a her breast implant during a recent eight-woman tag team match on WWE Raw.
After taking a brutal elbow from Piper Niven, Bella noted that she felt her breast implant shift during the match.
While she has appeared on-screen since and is announced to be facing Becky Lynch for the Intercontinental Championship at the event – the real life occurrence could be used to push forward a twist for Clash in Paris.
Lynch needing a replacement opponent for the event could leave a nice space for the debut of Nattie Neidhart – the darker persona of Natalya as Lynch continues to duck and dodge a showdown with the Dungeon Doll.

2. No Cody Rhodes

While Seth Rollins will look to defend his WWE World Championship against three opponents at Clash in Paris – there may not also be a WWE Championship bout.
With the card already shaping out to be a big one – it isn’t 100% that a match will be set for WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, despite a feud with Drew McIntyre being set up on SmackDown.
With Rhodes notably not posting his August schedule run-down as usual – perhaps his inevitable match with McIntyre will take place at WWE’s yet-to-be-announced September 20 Premium Live Event instead?
Having Cody sell the damage of McIntyre’s brutal ‘Claymore’ on Friday night would only add to the anticipation for a bout between “The American Nightmare” and “The Scottish Warrior”.

1. Ilja Dragunov Returns

One surprise return that could seemingly happen at Clash in Paris 2025 is the return of Ilja Dragunov.
After having been out of action due to injury following a torn ACL during a house show match against GUNTHER, Dragunov’s name has reportedly been brought up backstage within the company – indicating a return could be near.
With reported projections ranging for a return in the fall, it isn’t clear exactly when Draguonv will return but it is seemingly nearing.
While his last presentation on the main roster was that of a babyface, it will be interesting to see exactly which form of the Mad Dragon appears upon his return.
