With WWE Clash in Paris 2025 fast approaching on Sunday, August 31, there could be some interesting character changes at the event.
From stars in need of a refresh, to others potentially turned following a positive reaction from the crowd in Paris – there could be a few heels heading for a change of heart.
Here are six stars that could turn babyface at WWE Clash in Paris 2025.
6. Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes is among the stars most in need of a character overhaul heading into the Fall, with opportunities being limited for the star over the Summer.
With a recent report from PWNexus’ Cory Hays suggesting that we could soon see a babyface turn for Hayes, perhaps the former NXT Champion will find his path to the good side of the roster via a partnership with WWE’s top star.
With John Cena taking on Logan Paul in Paris, Hayes could help assist Cena against “The Maverick” and benefit from the exposure of having interacted with Cena as a result. Alternatively, Hayes could also be subject to a beatdown by tag team partner The Miz to create sympathy for him from the audience.
Melo’s in-ring abilities and skills on the mic creates likability that is a difficult sell as a true heel, so perhaps leaning into him as a rebellious babyface is a much better fit.

5. Finn Balor & JD McDonagh

Again holding the WWE World Tag Team Championship, The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh find themselves at an interesting crossroads.
Balor and McDonagh have the ability to turn babyface at Clash in Paris and lean into the positive fan reception that they will likely receive from the French crowd.
Conversely, the pair may play babyfaces for one night at the PLE and return to their dastardly ways once returning to American soil, much like they did when they won the World Tag Team Titles from The New Day on June 30.
But they may not be the only members of The Judgment Day to turn babyface in Paris…

4. Raquel Rodriguez

Since losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Raquel Rodriguez has seemed willing to continue to put in effort with her new tag team partner, Roxanne Perez.
However, after the duo failed to recapture their titles from Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss on Raw, it would make sense to see a bit of a rocky road ahead.
With Judgment Day perpetually teasing collapse, it could actually be time for the group to generally disband.
With Rodriguez able to choose to go with Finn Balor & JD McDonagh or with Dominik Mysterio ahead of Liv Morgan’s eventual return, she would have an interesting choice to make.

3. Bron Breakker

In another potential defection from a stable – Bron Breakker could have a bone to pick with Seth Rollins.
Seemingly poised to take over the group in Rollins’ absence, the faction leader seemingly made clear that Breakker had no idea that he wasn’t actually injured, with Rollins only informing his wife Becky Lynch and Paul Heyman of his secret plan.
Leading to some interesting blowback from Breakker, who was prepared to carry The Vision forward, the second-generation star could be poised to be the Jey Uso of the group, whereby his tyrannical leader’s treatment of him ends up making him even more popular with fans.
With Bron Breakker continuing to build momentum as a fan favorite, this turn is inevitable – however, admittedly Paris may be slightly too soon to execute it.

2. El Grande Americano

While Chad Gable is out of action due to injury, that hasn’t stopped his alter ego El Grande Americano from continuing to appear on TV.
First portrayed by only Ludwig Kaiser, the Americanos have been stacking up with two more revealed in recent weeks – reportedly played by Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate.
With Kaiser, Dunne and Bate three of Europe’s very best in-ring performers, the French crowd should receive them warmly if they make it onto the card on August 31.
Becoming one of the most enjoyable characters in WWE, there is still a lot of stories to be told with all of the El Grande Americanos and as time goes on their popularity with fans will no doubt grow.

1. #DIY

After a wild performance in the Tables, Ladders & Chairs match at SummerSlam – there could be a case to be made that #DIY could be babyface yet again.
Able to connect with audiences either way, the pairing of Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa can be just as interesting as babyfaces as heels.
Given the right feud, the duo would be able to find fan support against the likes of American Made and The New Day on WWE Raw – with a move away from the SmackDown division perhaps the best move for them.
While they’re very amusing as over the top bad guys – with the right creative angle they could easily transition back into babyfaces.
