2026 will kickstart with a number of champions who might be in danger of losing their gold sooner rather than later.

Here are six AEW title changes potentially coming soon.

6. PAC Brings The TNT Championship To The Death Riders After Defeating Mark Briscoe

Mark Briscoe has been going strong as TNT Champion after defeating Kyle Fletcher in a No DQ Match at AEW Full Gear 2025.

In his first defense, Briscoe defeated Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders to retain the title at AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming 2025.

Following his win alongside Timeless Toni Storm and The Conglomeration against The Death Riders at AEW Worlds End 2025, Briscoe might still find himself embroiled in a rivalry with the group and face a different member.

PAC being the next challenger for Briscoe could see The Death Riders member bringing some more gold to the faction after Jon Moxley won the Continental Classic and the AEW Continental Championship at the last pay-per-view.

5. Jamie Hayter Becomes A Two-Time AEW Women’s World Champion Against Kris Statlander

At the AEW Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view, Kris Statlander defeated Jamie Hayter to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.

This stellar bout showcased Statlander as the very best the AEW women’s division has to offer.

However, Hayter came so close that she could be in line for another opportunity down the line and might be able to get the job done with a character change.

Hayter turning heel on Statlander could see her be the one to take down “The Cosmic Killer” and make herself a two-time AEW Women’s World Champion in 2026.

4. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Return To Take AEW World Tag Team Titles From FTR

Back at AEW All Out 2025, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated FTR. After the bout, FTR attacked and laid out Christian and Adam’s wife Beth Copeland with a pair of Spike Piledrivers.

Since this assault, Copeland and Christian have been out of action and have not made any appearances on AEW programming.

Meanwhile, FTR has reached the mountaintop of the AEW tag team division by capturing the titles from Brodido at Full Gear 2025.

Now that the stars have aligned, fans could see Copeland and Christian make their return looking for revenge by taking the AEW World Tag Team Titles from FTR.

3. Konosuke Takeshita Finally Overcomes Kazuchika Okada For AEW International Championship

AEW stars Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada

The AEW Worlds End 2025 event opened up with Kazuchika Okada defeating Konosuke Takeshita in the Continental Classic Semifinals.

Advancing to the finals against Jon Moxley, Okada got the job done by using a screwdriver against his fellow Don Callis Family member.

Following this loss, Takeshita made it clear that this is not over with “The Rainmaker” after getting screwed over in a post match interview.

“The Alpha” could target Okada and eventually take the AEW International Championship from him to show himself to be the true leader of the Callis Family.

2. Swerve Strickland Dethrones MJF For AEW World Championship

Another major title change that took place at the recent AEW Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view was MJF winning the AEW World Title by defeating Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.

Heading into this event, a new rivalry seemed to be set up between Maxwell Jacob Friedman and his former friend Strickland.

These two men are among the biggest and most popular stars on the AEW roster, making for what should be a tantalizing first-time ever matchup in the company.

Swerve eventually being the one to dethrone MJF for the AEW World Championship would allow him to join the elite group of talent that have held the top prize in the company twice and make this budding feud even more intense moving forward.

1. Willow Nightingale Beats Mercedes Moné For TBS Championship

At AEW Worlds End 2025, Babes of Wrath defeated Mercedes Mone and Athena to retain the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.

Scoring the win for her team, Willow Nightingale pinned TBS Champion Mone. This led to Mercedes challenging Willow for the TBS Championship on the AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash special.

Regardless of the result of this match, Nightingale would be a great choice to dethrone Moné eventually.

Considering Mone and Nightingale are 1-1 in singles competition, there is a strong chance Willow could be the one to end the historic TBS Title reign over “The CEO” that started at AEW Double Or Nothing 2024 against herself.
