With rumors flying that former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May is set to sign with WWE, one potential creative option would be to debut her as a leader of her own faction.
With past experience in a group back in STARDOM, May could be able to accumulate powerful allies as an outsider from the onset, becoming the catalyst to the newest WWE super group – this time, for the ladies.
Here are give WWE stars that could join a brand new Mariah May faction.
5. Asuka
Asuka has been out of in-ring action since May 2024 with a serious knee injury, with fans now eagerly anticipating her return.
While a core member of Damage CTRL prior to her injury, it might make sense for her to return with an entirely different squad given that her old unit no longer exists.
While Kairi Sane has already returned from injury to singles competition on WWE Raw – if Asuka were to join Mariah May on SmackDown – they could make the perfect pair.
With both supporting each other’s chaotic heel tendencies, their story could be really fun because despite their differences – they are both incredibly violent!

4. Giulia
Announced as the latest signing for the WWE SmackDown brand, Giulia has already made quite an impression.
Potentially joining forces with Mariah May could end up making an even bigger impact on the division, and with their past shared experience in STARDOM as foes, there is history to be tapped into.
With the pair able to join together as relative outsiders, their dynamic in-ring work could work well whether they were literally in a tag team or just allied.
With Mariah May able to do most of the talking, the exceptional striking abilities of Giulia could shine in the ring- creating a very scary combination!

3. Charlotte Flair
While it would probably be unlikely to see Flair join a faction helmed by another member of the women’s division – perhaps an alliance between the pair of Mariah May and Charlotte Flair would lead to an entirely different kind of group.
Creating a supergroup where each member was of equal standing would be a refreshing change for a WWE women’s storyline, where often the narratives are rooted in the past of simple mean girl antics.
Bringing together two titans, perhaps Flair and May could end up gaining far more if they joined forces than if they went against one another.
With May over a decade younger than Flair, she could enter as The Queen’s protege before eventually usurping her much like she did with Toni Storm in AEW.

2. Jade Cargill
Since joining WWE, Jade Cargill has seemingly had a rough time collecting true friends.
While she may have thought she found allies in Naomi and Bianca Belair, it doesn’t seem like Jade trusts anyone anymore given Naomi’s betrayal.
Already with her eyes on the top women’s prize in WWE, perhaps aligning with another former AEW star could end up being in both of their best interest.
Bringing together two of the next big stars of WWE’s women’s division, Jade Cargill and Mariah May could be the foundation of a history making female faction.

1. Karmen Petrovic
While she remains in NXT at the minute, it seems that Karmen Petrovic is destined for bigger things in the company.
If she were to get called up to the main roster to join a squad of dangerous Blondes helmed by Mariah May – Petrovic may finally find her big storyline.
After previously tagging with Natalya on NXT, then involved in a semi-love story with Ashante Thee Adonis, Petrovic could end up with a fresh start on the main roster.
Bringing her unique martial arts themed gimmick to the forefront, the real life karate champion could prove to be a dangerous foe for anyone hoping to get their hands on Mariah May.
