5 Things We’d Love To See In WWE 2K23

WWE 2K22 has been on the shelves for a couple of weeks now, and I think it’s fair to say the vast majority of people are pretty happy with the gameplay.

To say it’s the best WWE 2K game the company has put out in the last couple of years is undeniable, but now that it’s out, we can already start looking forward to next year’s game, because we have ZERO patience!

Because we live in a world where dreams can be made a reality, I think perhaps we should put our dreams for WWE 2K23 out into the universe to see whether they’ll be heard by WWE and then made a reality.

Here are 5 things we would love to see in WWE 2K23.

5. Bring Back Story Creator

Let me take you back eight years to a time when no-one had even heard of Logan Paul. I know, it’s hard to believe there was a time like that, but I am talking about 2014.

WWE 2K14 had a gem of a feature some of you will remember called “Story Creator”, in which you could make segments using hundreds of different animations and add your own subtitles to them and make a story out of it.

It was a lot of fun, and while not one of the game’s main features, it was a really nice way to take a break from cage matches and ladder matches when you just wanted to have a less violent time.

I mean, they’ve done it before, so just throw the old code into the computer machine and press the old update to 2023 button.

You can tell I’m a computer nerd.

4. More Details On MyGM Mode

My GM Mode on WWE 2K22 is a lot of fun. Don’t believe me? Well you can see for yourself by heading over to the PartsFunKnown YouTube channel and watch Pete and Luke’s brand new Monday Night War series.

There are lots of great details that make it a really unique way to play the game, but there are a couple of things currently missing that we would love to see added in the future.

The most obvious to us is that there currently aren’t any tag or midcard titles, and so really it’s all about who your top male and top female champions are. While that’s great, it would be even more fun to be able to have more champions on your brand, because belts are cool and we want more of them.

If I want to make a team out of Shanky and Brock Lesnar and make them the tag champions, then I think I should be allowed to.

3. Make It Less Easy To Counter Moves

I have played WWE 2K22 quite a lot now, and I’m not sure I’ve actually hit a move yet.

Ok, that’s a massive exaggeration but when you’re playing against someone that isn’t the computer, it is way too easy to counter moves. I was in a 30 minute triple threat match the other day and I think my finisher was countered probably 15 times, if not more.

I’m all for being able to counter, but don’t give me so much time to press the counter button. I want to feel like I’ve actually done something impressive by countering, and not just pressing the counter button within a 2 second time period.

Just let me hit my finisher. I still don’t know what it actually looks like.

2. More Match Stipulations

Yes, I am being very picky here, because there are loads of match types to choose from in WWE 2K22.

To be more specific, and I mean really specific…where is my special guest referee? Where’s my Gulf of Mexico Match? Ok maybe not the second one but I want to be able to pick my referee.

Much like my point on MyGM Mode, if I want Lita to be the special guest referee in my blood feud between Tucker and Slapjack, then surely that’s not too much to ask? I am a simple man who desires simple pleasures.

1. Real-Time Updates

I am a simple man who desires simple pleasures.

If Carmella gets a haircut in the real world, then the Carmella in my game should also get a haircut. I told you I was being picky.

While there will undoubtedly be a fan who creates every single new haircut or tattoo every wrestler in the game gets in reality, I am way too impatient to try and find that new haircut.

Roman Reigns has had his eyebrows shaped in a new way? You better believe I want to see the virtual version of those eyebrows as soon as possible.

Basically, I want the game and real life to be exactly the same, or I might get confused.
