With a busy summer scheduled for WWE – now may be the perfect time to introduce new tag teams to showcase as many stars as possible.
From some that have already seemingly come together to others that haven’t ever teamed up in WWE at all – this list covers a lot of intriguing possibilities.
Here are five potential new WWE tag teams.
5. Dungeon Dolls (Maxxine Dupri & Natalya)
On this week’s WWE Raw, Nikki Bella had a backstage interaction with a notable trio – first greeting Maxxine Dupri and Natalya before moving on to interacting with IYO SKY.
Although they have already tagged together in the past (and even seem to have matching gear already prepared!), the duo of Dupri and Natalya had yet to make it official.
It was recently reported by WrestleVotes Radio that the duo were going to debut as an official tag team sometime soon with Natalya seemingly relenting to Dupri’s continued requests to be taken seriously.
Set to continue their on-screen pairing, Maxxine Dupri and Natalya apparently also already have the perfect potential team name in place – the Dungeon Dolls.

4. Lucha Bros. (Rey Fenix & Penta)
Although contract circumstances ended up causing real-life brothers Rey Fenix and Penta to have to debut in WWE at different times – it may have worked out for the best.
With both stars already making their debuts in WWE as singles wrestlers, it will eventually be great to see the pair reunited and be able to show off their innovative tag team style as well.
While this certainly isn’t a new tag team in professional wrestling, the official pairing of Rey Fenix and Penta would be new to WWE.
Since each have quickly become fan favorites, certainly the WWE launch of the Lucha Brothers will be legendary.

3. AJ Styles & Finn Balor
While the pair still occupy the same roster – it would be great to see an official AJ Styles and Finn Balor tag team in WWE.
Given the clear breakdown that seems to be happening each week between the members of Judgment Day – it would make a lot of sense to see Finn Balor looking for a partner elsewhere.
Meanwhile, AJ Styles continues to have solid matches but in the absence of any heated rivalries of late. However, AJ Styles and Finn Balor together could be poised for greatness as a pair of grumpy veterans.
Able to be fan favorites despite displays of outright ruthlessness, the duo have a built in gimmick given their shared history with the Bullet Club.

2. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)
It has been recently reported by Dave Meltzer that the duo’s current AEW contracts are set to be up quite soon.
Having been with the company since 2019, the former AEW World Tag Team Champions haven’t been seen on AEW TV since losing the titles to the Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benajmin) in January 2025.
Potentially poised to continue their pro wrestling careers in TNA Wrestling, the duo would be a great fit in NXT or the main roster by way of the WWE Draft 2025.
Using the WWE Draft as another potential surprise entry point for newly signed stars could make the event even more fun and unpredictable.

1. Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes
Perhaps the next change that the WWE fandom should demand en masse is the reunion of the Trick Melo Gang!
While still technically in NXT, Trick Williams has now gone on to become a dominant champion in TNA Wrestling as well by successfully defending the TNA World Championship he won from Joe Hendry.
While he has found great singles success since having parted ways from Carmelo Hayes on NXT – the duo is so charismatic and fun together that it is hard to not imagine them as a tag team at some point on the main roster.
Easily able to occupy the space between being true heels and babyfaces, now that it is Williams with the most gritty edge whereas Carmelo Hayes has flipped to the more lighthearted role – their pairing could be a fresh new take on their NXT stories.
