With WWE Crown Jewel 2025 nearly upon us, there are some last minute changes that could happen before showtime.
From additions to the card to moving the five announced matches around for time, there could be some intriguing shifts that are made in the lead up to the event.
Here are five potential last minute changes to WWE Crown Jewel 2025.
5. Match Order Switch-Up
Despite the fact that card is only set for five matches at time of writing, there are at least a few that could take up a considerable amount of time.
With fans hotly anticipating there being a legendary bout between AJ Styles and John Cena, it would seem that the farewell tour landmark would get a considerable amount of time on the card.
Factoring two big (and lengthy) entrances from Rollins & Rhodes into their match time, there is also a typically lengthy stipulation match pitting Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed in an Australian street fight so what gets considered the ‘main event’ is subjective.
Potentially leading to a change in order on the night, we’ll have to stay tuned to see exactly which bout goes where on the card but it would make sense to see Styles vs. Cena first.

4. Sami Zayn & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. MFTs Added
On the SmackDown before WWE Crown Jewel, there was already a surprise return with Shinsuke Nakamura making an appearance to answer Sami Zayn’s open challenge and bringing back his old theme song.
The match however would not end up with a conclusive winner after it was called off when a masked man interfered. Taking out Nakamura first, Tama Tonga would go on to reveal himself and subsequently attack Zayn as well.
Clearly there is still bad blood between the MFTs and Sami Zayn, it seemed as though Nakamura could be presented as more of a babyface moving forward.
Setting the stage for a good tag team bout to be added to the event, there could be a fun opportunity for the storyline to make the card.

3. Brock Lesnar Surprise
Just because Brock Lesnar isn’t scheduled to be on the card for WWE Crown Jewel 2025 doesn’t mean that he might not end up causing chaos at the event.
Not only could Lesnar poke at the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes by costing him the champion vs. champion bout against Seth Rollins – he could re-ignite a separate feud too.
If he were to also involve himself in the Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed and their Australian Street Fight – it would certainly set the stage for a fascinating alliance.
Potentially bringing Brock Lesnar into the fold of The Vision – at least in an honorary capacity could end up having huge implications for the upcoming PLE Survivor Series WarGames.

2. Becky Lynch Segment Added
Just because she doesn’t have a match on the card doesn’t mean that Becky Lynch couldn’t still make an appearance at WWE Crown Jewel 2025.
While there isn’t set to be an Intercontinental Championship bout for either the men’s or women’s title on Crown Jewel, there could be a segment added for the champ.
Potentially coming out to inspire a confrontation with the likes of Bayley or Lyra Valkyria, there also remains the looming threat of AJ Lee.
With The Man liable to show up at anywhere and at any time, there could always be sometime special planned for Crown Jewel to continue her feuds.

1. More Surprise Returns
Another possibility for a big return at Crown Jewel 2025 comes from a report on future plans from Dave Meltzer.
Noting that the Survivor Series WarGames team is set to include Austin Theory on team Rollins, it could be that the former A-Town Down Under Star is headed back into action imminently.
Other potential surprise returns include GUNTHER who hasn’t been seen since his SummerSlam loss to CM Punk as well as someone who has been gone over a year.
Ilja Dragunov has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL in September 2024 but is rumored to be returning sometime in the near future as well.
