A WWE star has hailed the leadership and personal skills of NXT figurehead Shawn Michaels after working with him over the Summer.

After being repackaged as ‘The Lowkey Legend’ at the start of 2026 on Monday Night Raw, Nattie has spent her Summer working with the WWE stars of tomorrow in NXT.

While primarily feuding with Jaida Parker, Nattie has also gotten the opportunity to work closely with NXT’s head of creative Shawn Michaels behind the scenes.

Nattie even requested to Shawn personally that she make the move to NXT in order to work with Parker, and on the latest episode of The Hart Beat on Busted Open, Nattie discussed the “extra care” she’s put into her run on the brand thus far:

“I’ve taken extra special care of the time I’ve had here in NXT, where – and this is a little inside talk – every match that I’ve ever had with any girl here in NXT I have put extra special care to make sure everybody feels incredible about it.

I want every girl I work with I want them to go ‘I gotta ride the Nattie Ferrari, that I had the performance of my life because I got to work with Nattie.’ When I worked with Thea Hail last week I wanted to give her everything I had because I wanted to beat somebody that really, really meant something.

“When I worked with Kendal (Grey), I wanted to give Kendal everything I have. I wanted Kendal to give me everything she had, I wanted her to hit me as hard as she possibly could because I wanted to make sure that Kendal’s first title defense was her best defense.

“And it was one of the highest ratings for NXT in a six month window, it was one of the highest rated shows that NXT had had in six months. And I was so proud – not only that we were able to do great work but do a great number.”

Nattie would then praise Shawn Michaels’ work behind the scenes in NXT, saying she has seen first hand that HBK is a “father figure” for a lot of the roster and felt supported by him personally when they’ve worked together.

Nattie continued:

“Shawn Michaels allows us to have a voice… I was able to bring this vision to him. I was able to say ‘Hey Shawn I want to come to NXT, I want to do this program, I want to work with this girl, please let me do that ‘and he welcomed me with open arms.

“And it’s funny because I know Shawn and Bret have had their history and people may look at Shawn – because the thing is Shawn Michaels is one of the most iconic wrestlers, performers, entertainers, one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, but what I have also noticed down here – if I can speak from my heart – is that he is also kind of a father figure to a lot of people behind the scenes do not see.

“I’ve witnessed it, I’ve watched Shawn be very nurturing even today. I had a moment where Shawn and I were able to have this great hug and I needed that. I just feel very supported by him.

“I feel very seen, I feel very heard and a lot of people don’t realize that, again, a lot of people haven’t had great relationships with their parents. For me and my relationship with my dad was very volatile – I wrote a whole book about it. But I feel very supported by Shawn and I think there’s a great team down here. And that support from somebody who’s a great leader is helping the talent be their very best too.”

As confirmed on last night’s NXT, Nattie and Jaida Parker will square off one more time at NXT Heatwave this Sunday (August 30), however, unlike their past two meetings, it will be a submission match.
