A WWE star has commented ahead of a seemingly imminent return to the company following his recent contract expiry.
In early October, it emerged that Santos Escobar’s WWE contract had expired and he was departing the company.
This was confirmed by his removal from the current WWE roster section on the official website, which had moved him to the alumni section instead.
However, it soon emerged that Escobar had actually signed a new deal with WWE following his brief period as a free agent.
The new deal was said to be for big money with some notable creative plans in play.
However, Escobar has yet to make a return to WWE TV since then, despite reportedly being backstage for at least one show.
Escobar has remained relatively quiet and cryptic on social media throughout the situation, but shared a brief comment today regarding his status.
He simply wrote:
Waiting, Patiently.
Potentially also of note, Escobar attached an image wearing a mask from when he was known as El Hijo Del Fantasma before he signed with WWE NXT in 2019.
Throughout his absence, Escobar has trained numerous times at Ace Steel’s Harley Race Foundation of Professional Wrestling school.
