A new championship match has been added to the upcoming January 24 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The next SNME takes place at Centre Bell in Montreal a week before the Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia on January 31.
Already confirmed for the show is a four-way match that will determine who challenges Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship match at the Rumble.
During today’s January 12 episode of Raw, a new championship match was added to the card for SNME.
Raw opened with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley after they won the title from the Kabuki Warriors last week.
SKY and Ripley were interrupted by Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, and the aforementioned Kabuki Warriors of Asuka and Kairi Sane.
A three-way match took place later on Raw between the three interrupting teams, with Morgan and Perez picking up the win.
After the match, it was confirmed that this victory earned Morgan and Perez a title shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title against SKY and Ripley at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
