A WWE referee has suffered a broken leg and reports that he will be out of action for ‘a couple months’ in a new social media post.
After earlier posting about heading to Lincoln, Nebraska for last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, another less pleasant post.
Writing on Instagram, WWE referee Jason Ayers wrote:
“When they say “break a leg” I don’t think this is what they meant.
“Looks like I’ll be on the sidelines for the next couple months!”

Everyone at WrestleTalk wishes Jason all the best during his recovery.
Meanwhile in the ring on last night’s WWE SmackDown, there was a scary moment that led to a match being stopped due to concern for the wrestlers safety.
The stoppage was second time in 2024 that a match has been stopped to ensure wrestler safety, the first being from the Day 1 edition of Raw when Giovanni Vinci was determined to be not able to continue.
