A WWE star has commented on the recent reformation of a faction, indicating that it would’ve been a one-and-done segment if the crowd wasn’t on board.

The June 20 AAA episode saw a new version of Los Perros Del Mal emerge, with Karmen Petrovic, Angel, Berto, Daga and Bronco Nima confronting El Grande Americano.

With Damian 666 since joining the group, Petrovic has commented on the significance of the group, and their first segment together.

Speaking with the Battleground Podcast, Karmen noted that the sentiment around the segment is that it would’ve been a “one and done if it didn’t work”.

She said:

“It’s something that’s so indescribable. When the idea came across the table that this was gonna happen again, at first I was so nervous because of course, with something that has such a legacy and carries so much weight, I was kinda nervous because I was like ‘I don’t know if we’d be able to uphold this standard for everything they’ve created before us.’

“It was kind of like ‘Hey listen, we’re going to run with it, let’s see how the crowd reacts to it,’ so it was kinda like a one and done if it didn’t work. That’s everything that was on the line.

“Being able to be 110% with this idea, ‘Okay, we have to give everything we can because of the weight that this carries and the legacy that has been built already.’

“It felt like immense pressure, but when it happened, when we debut and when we walked out that day, and the Mexican crowd accepted us, and with everything that’s happening online – we had the most social views across WWE and AAA platforms within like 12 hours – it was definitely well welcomed.

“I hope that we can just carry the legacy to the best of our ability and just keep creating this amazing faction and keep bringing eyes into, not only AAA, but WWE as well.”
