An absent WWE star has declared their intent for the World Heavyweight Championship, saying that they want to be next.
Last competing at WWE Crown Jewel in October last year, Seth Rollins suffered an injury during the match against Cody Rhodes.
With a likely return imminent, subject to medical clearance, Rollins has revealed who he wants to face when he does make his comeback.
Speaking to ESPN First Take, Rollins would declare his intention to reclaim the WWE championship that he was forced to vacate, saying:
“That’s a loaded question. There’s a ton of guys I’d like to get in the ring with, but the bottom line is, whoever is holding on to my World Heavyweight Championship. Because what you got to understand is, I never lost that title; I was forced to give that title up due to injury, so I want my title back.
“Right now, CM Punk is holding onto that title, but he’s going into Elimination Chamber; he’s got to get past Finn Balor, a former Universal Champion, so Finn Balor could be taking that into WrestleMania.
“Either way, somebody’s defending that title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, and whoever comes out of that, I want next, boys. That title’s mine. I never lost it.”

WWE Elimination Chamber takes place on February 28, with the winner of the World Heavyweight Championship match going on to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42 on April 18 or 19 in Las Vegas.
Rollins would also confirm that he would not be returning at Elimination Chamber on Saturday, but noted that he was “getting close” to a return.
As previously reported, the World Heavyweight Championship match will be the main event of either night one or night two of WrestleMania 42.
While Rollins may not be at WWE Elimination Chamber, he has shared his thoughts on the outcome of Becky Lynch’s defense of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against AJ Lee.
