A WWE championship has been redesigned with a new champion being crowned at today’s AAA Ola De Calor event in Texas.
Last month, El Hijo Del Vikingo suffered an injury that led to him having to vacate the AAA Latin American Championship.
To decide a new champion, AAA held a mini tournament culminating in a four-wayt at Ola De Calor today to determine the new champion.
El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr, El Fiscal and La Parka all won their qualifying matches, while former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest was absent from his planned qualification three-way between himself, Omos and Galeno, but when Omos and Galeno had a singles match that went to a double disqualification, Priest was awarded the fourth spot in the championship match.
The Wagner vs Fiscal vs Parka vs Priest four-way took place today, and it was La Parka who came out with the win to become the new AAA Latin American Champion.
His win also comes with the reveal of a new AAA Latin American Title belt, as you can see in the image below:

Elsewhere At WWE AAA Ola De Calor
There has been some other news at today’s WWE AAA Ola De Calor event as well, especially pertaining to next month’s TripleMania event.
Firstly, La Catalina emerged victorious from the women’s gauntlet match – which notably featured NXT star Thea Hail as a surprise entrant – to confirm that Catalina will challenge Flammer for the Reina De Reinas Championship at TripleMania.
Also, the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship #1 contender’s three-way match between Nathan Frazer, Mini Vikingo and Jack Cartwheel went all the way to a 20-minute time limit draw, meaning there was no #1 contender decided.
With that being the situation, champion Rey Fenix came out and announced that he’ll defend his title against all three men in a four-way at TripleMania.
