A former AEW and current TNA Wrestling star has addressed their departure from the company in 2025.
Over four years after his debut in the company in December 2020, Bear Bronson departed AEW following the expiry of his contract on June 1, 2025.
Both in the months leading up to his exit and after it was made official, Bronson became a prolific presence on the independent wrestling scene, competing for promotions such as CGW, Beyond Wrestling and Limitless Wrestling among many others.
Bronson’s journey on the indies led to him eventually inking a deal with another major promotion: TNA Wrestling, with the 30-year-old officially signing with the company in January after making his debut the month prior.
Speaking with the I Love Wrestling Podcast, Bronson said he hopes other wrestlers can learn from his path to get to where he is now in TNA:
“This is just everything I’ve ever wanted. It’s something I hope wrestlers can learn from to where if you are unhappy somewhere, you can point fingers and you can blame and whatever, whatever, but at the end of the day every wrestling company is just trying.
“They’re just trying their best with the pieces they have and they’re not always thinking about you.
“So, if you are unhappy you need to leave. You need to go get yourself battle ready. That’s what I knew I needed to do.
“I left one place and said, ‘You know what, I’m not even gonna try to get signed anywhere else I just need to reconnect with the wrestler that I know is inside here.’ And I think, between then and now, about like 120 matches under my belt since leaving. Then I had places knocking on my door.

“I’m A Completely Different Animal” – Bear Bronson Addresses TNA Reinvention
Unlike his time in AEW, where he was rarely in a prominent spot on TV, Bronson has already been mixing it up with main event talent in TNA.
After winning a number one contender’s battle royal in only his second match, Bronson challenged then TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian for his title one week later.
While he didn’t win the gold, Bronson followed that up by joining the rebranded The System faction one month later alongside Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers and Cedric Alexander.
Describing himself as a “completely different animal” now in TNA, Bronson said:
“It feels right, and that is where I’m a completely different animal than I was before, completely different animal. Like I said, you can point fingers and whatever, but it’s up to you. Now I’ve landed in a place where I’m being put to work.
“I’ve said it before in other interviews and I’ll say here, I know what it’s like to kind of sit and watch everybody else be busy and you want that too, but you’re kind of just sitting there doing nothing. And I wished for it and I got it man, because now I got thrown right into the main event mix with a top stable as The System and it feels great. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted.
“Every show we are put tow work and I’m always left wanting more, because that’s just the type of person that I am. A lot of people say, ‘I want it all, I want it all’ until it happens. And it’s happening and I just want more.”
