WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H has addressed what he calls a “personal” rivalry ahead of an anticipated match.
Not only is this Monday’s Raw (January 22) the go-home show before the Royal Rumble on January 27, it is also set to feature some eagerly anticipated matches and segments.
While a great deal of the attention from fans will be on Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship address following his recent MCL tear injury; or the first face-to-face promo between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, there is in fact yet another major reason to tune in.
That being the heavyweight meeting between Señor Money in the Bank Damian Priest and The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre.
Both men have had brewing tension since as far back as October, when McIntyre first prevented Priest form cashing-in his World Championship contract; something that also happened on last week’s Raw (January 15).
With the match officially set, WWE’s head of creative Triple H took to Twitter to hype up the match; referring to is as a “personal” rivalry.
Triple H tweeted:
Hostility has been building for months… and tomorrow night, it all boils over when @DMcIntyreWWE and @ArcherOfInfamy step into the ring.
This match is personal, and it’s going down tomorrow at 8/7c LIVE on #WWERaw @USANetwork.
The Game wasn’t the only one building anticipation for the match as Priest himself sent his own message to the Scotsman ahead of Raw.
