WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has given his thoughts on John Cena’s upcoming retirement from in-ring action.
As of this writing, John Cena currently has two matches left in his WWE career, but that will change tonight after his Intercontinental Championship match with Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series in San Diego.
After that, Cena will only have one match remaining at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 against LA Knight, GUNTHER, Jey Uso or Solo Sikoa.
Speaking with Doubl3 Coverage, Flair was asked for his thoughts on Cena’s retirement, saying:
“I’m elated for him. I heard they cheered for him for 10 minutes in The Garden Monday night. He’s a phenomenal man. And he’s a man.
“I never got to work with John. He did phenomenal. He’ll be missed.
“It’s perfect (not too early for him to retire). So active in Hollywood now, and he’s done so well. His acting is spot on now and he’s doing great.”
