A released WWE star has signed with TNA Wrestling and made their debut appearance during tonight’s episode of Impact on AMC.
In April 2026, former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark was among the names released from the WWE roster at a time that she was still recovering from a long-term ACL injury – in fact a torn ACL, MCL and Meniscus.
Now recovered and ready to get back to in-ring action, she made her first appearance in TNA tonight under her new name Zoey Serrano, which is a fusion of her aforementioned WWE name Zoey Stark and her real name Theresa Serrano.
Serrano made her debut by ambushing Indi Hartwell after Hartwell had been involved in an in-ring confrontation with TNA Director of Operations Daria Rae, formerly known as Sonya Deville in WWE, who has her own history with Serrano as members of the Pure Fusion Collective faction along with Shayna Baszler.
After Serrano appeared and laid out Hartwell, Rae said:
“Indi, ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce to you, TNA’s newest Knockout, and my good friend, Zoey Serrano.”
Serrano and Rae then shook hands suggesting they’re in cahoots and the attack on Hartwell was planned in advance by both.
After that played out on TV, TNA confirmed on social media that Serrano has signed with the company as opposed to working as a free agent, so she is officially a full-time member of the TNA roster.
Announced for next week is her debut match, where she will team with TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside against the team of Hartwell and Harley Hudson.
TNA also wrote on its website regarding the signing of former WWE star Serrano:
TNA Wrestling has officially signed Zoey Serrano, as announced during TNA Thursday Night iMPACT! on AMC.
Serrano joins the roster with championship experience, having previously held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. She also has a history with TNA’s Knockouts division, having challenged Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
After making appearances in TNA in 2020, Serrano now returns as an officially signed member of the roster.
When Serrano made her previous TNA appearances, it was when the promotion was called Impact Wrestling and she was working under her pre-WWE name Lacey Ryan – her three matches were losses to Taya Valkyrie, Jordynne Grace and Kiera Hogan.
