The Knockouts division has been a highlight of TNA television for over 20 years now, and TNA has now officially added a new title to the division.

TNA Unveils Knockouts Television Championship

Following the match between Elayna Black, Mara Sade and Indi Hartwell on the Countdown to Slammiversary, TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks made an appearance as Mara and Indi were going to leave.

Traci would officially announce the creation of the Knockouts Television Championship, which you can see below.

A 16-woman tournament will begin next week on TNA IMPACT, with the winner being crowned the first-ever TNA Knockouts Television Champion, with the title only being defended on IMPACT.

The TNA Knockouts World Championship will be defended on tonight’s Slammiversary event, with champion Lei Ying Lee defending the title against her former tag team partner Xia Brookside.

Who Should Be The Inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion?

With the tournament getting underway on next week’s episode of TNA IMPACT, we won’t have to wait long to find out who the inaugural holder of the title will be.

The Knockouts division currently features a lot of rising stars, including names like Indi Hartwell, Elayna Black, Mara Sade and Jada Stone, all of who would be great first holders of the title.

If the promotion instead wants to opt for a more established name to be it’s inaugural champion, names like Ash by Elegance, Rosemary and Tasha Steels would also make good choices.

Outside of the company, there are a long list of currently available free agent women’s stars that could be brought in to feature in the tournament, including names like Charlie (Dakota Kai), Shotzi Blackheart and Kay Lee Ray.

With Women’s wrestling continuing to show out all over the world right now, introducing more championships and elevating the division further is only going to allow for more exposure for some of the lesser names in the division.
